I agree. I thought Stones was very good too and was unlucky not to score.

Stones MOTM. Fair play he’s turned it round.

I think all 3 with the Barnsley connection had decent games Maguire had a shakey start but got better as the game went on Stones was very solid and agree about Trippier as a good shout for MOTM though I would expect Kane got it.
Who was the official MOTM anyone know

Got to disagree on Maguire. Atrocious defender up against even a modicum of pace.

The left hand side of that defence will get ripped to shreds after Panama.

Sorry but I can't see how Stones can be man of the match. He had nothing to do bar trundle a few passes around on the half way line. He wasn't tested defensively once.
Trippier did really well but if I was giving mom it would be Kane. He wasn't that mobile but it was down to Alli, Sterling and lingard to break the lines. They failed. Kane did what a centre forward is supposed to do. Score goals. He won us the game.

    Stones controlled the match.

Kane was in the right place twice but that won’t continue. Needs to offer far more to get us to the quarters.

Going to have to agree to disagree there. Stones was unopposed in nearly all his possession and did nothing outstanding with it. That's not to say he played badly. Thought he did ok but Tunisia were quite content to let us have it in the areas Stones was playing.
    Anyway...opinions.

The commentator mentioned it, he looks so accomplished for England even though the number of caps he has, he’s inexperienced.

Great player and suits the role well.

I thought Trippier was excellent as was Stones. Maguire struggled and looked woeful in the first half. We still lack someone of genuine world class quality in any midfield position and other than Stones are very weak at Centre half.

Work in progress. We are not a contender. That is a plus for me.

Never rated Southgate, but I think he has played his job well & needs a bit of space.

I think if we get a bit of luck we can get to the semi's. That would be a major result.

Cringe worthy watching them smash that telly and prance about like we’d won the cup after narrowly beating Tunisia in chennells. Other than that, half decent performance with lots of chances squandered. Sterling is ***** too.

Not scored in 23 Internationals since October 2015 and only scored 2 goals for England in 40 games -
there is no measure you can use that says anything other than not good enough
Compare with Peter Crouch - who many said wasnt England class and he scored 22 in 42 games and set up quite a few more

What is Maguire's connection with Barnsley?
