I'm looking forward to the England coming home early party in my local.
I'll post the pictures of the merriment. ;)

I enjoyed watching that. First time I've seen it. Scotland really had some good players going into that world cup.

I still always want the other home nations to win if we're not involved, although that's starting to wear a bit thin given their animosity towards us.

Unfortunately I had the pleasure of watching it all unfold as it happened. I was 22 at the time and believed Ally McCleod and this Dick singing this song. LOL

Durkar. A couple of days after Scotland were out of the cup a guy in Dundee had a pile of Andy Cameron singles and a hammer and for 1p you could buy a record and smash it up. LOL

Have to say, it was the first time I'd seen the programme and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Think Ally MacLeod was a wee bit ambitious in what the team could achieve and when
it all went wrong, he bore the brunt of the inevitable criticism. There's no doubt that on his return from
Argentina, he was a very different man. You have to give credit and honestly say, that on paper
the team that represented Scotland in 78 was a very talented one and should have qualified for the
latter stages of the competition, but sadly, it was not to be. Thought that was great at the end
when the lad who had met an Argentinian lass whilst he was over there supporting the Tartan Army,
introduced her as his wife of 31 years. What a lovely touch to round the programme off.

Cubillas who scored that great goal against us for Peru. I didn't realise that I had watched him play for Porto at Tannadice 2 years earlier.
