    Opinions. Yes or no.

A yes from me. She is doing alright and blethers less pish than the likes of Jonathan Pierce and Mark Laurenson.

I've not heard a 'corridor of uncertainty' yet, so she's doing alright for me.

I don't care about a commentators gender, I want intelligent and eloquent commentators, which she definitely is.

Another plus for BBC's coverage from me.

One of the best I've heard. A lot better than the ITV ones.

Nah. Too high pitched and rather boring. I put it on mute.

When you,ve been used to male commentators for so long it does take some getting used to

I think she's very good. She takes care just to give the relevant information
without going over the top. Don't have a problem with female commentators
and pundits to be honest, unlike Patrice Evra who was very patronising towards
Ellie Aluko in one particular summary during an earlier game. After she gave a very well reasoned opinion
Evra started clapping her as though she was an air head. Far from it, as well as being
a very good centre forward, she's legally qualified.

Certainly seems to be a permanent fixture now, in both cricket and football. Not sure about it to be honest. Commentators in general are annoying to listen to (Jonathan Pearce being right at the top of that list). On balance though I prefer men commentating on men's games but I know that's not PC these days. Equality is fine, and I applaud it, but it seems that all the broadcasters need to be seen to be "equal".

Perhaps those who watch women's football, cricket, rugby etc could let us know if male professionals get involved in commentating on that. I don't know because I don't follow the women's versions of these games.

At first I thought oh dear but she's done a brilliant job
Martin Keown on the other hand just asks questions ooh that's a foul isn't it? He's having a good game isn't He? A bit annoying

I just put it on a few minutes ago and thought the same thing. I like that she just ignores him though.

She seems no different to any other commentator I have heard, it feels very natural. I watch a lot of the Olympics when it is on though and they have commentators of both sexes so it doesn’t seem new and unusual to me.

Wow see if you can set the bar any lower :)
I watched the second half and thought she did quite well, in fact if it hadnt been for reading this thread before I stopped for a late lunch and to watch the second half I probably wouldnt have given her much thought. But then again as JamDrop says I watch quite a few sports which have a mix of male and female commentators and I dont really care which based on gender - some are good some arent though most of the really bad commentators and Pundits are male - though there are more of them to skew the figueres
