Agree we have reason to think we could do well. I'm not getting carried away though we have been here before and struggled

    And Coventry.
We won’t beat Coventry - we never do.
Then again - a new era - things will start to change this season.

Is it just me or does did anyone else look at that first 2 months of fixtures and think "oooh, those are hard games to win".

    Maybe I'm just managing expectations.

If we get 25/30 points by Christmas I'd hope that we'll be safe by the end of the season

I was undecided whether or not to buy a season ticket this year, I was waiting to see who we signed etc. However, having just seen the fixture list in black and white and seeing the words ACCRINGTON STANLEY on our website there is no way I am paying £400 to watch that dross. Utterly deflated. The club should portray that mood for me, not saying "the wait is over". How far we have fallen. Shame.

Blackburn got 96 so let’s aim for that. In the middle.

No shame in falling one division, it's football, teams get promoted teams get relegated , I think that if you believe getting relegated brings shame to the club then you are probably right to save your money & stay away . Incidentally, nothing wrong with Accrington Stanley, no Billy big ******** attitude required

Accrington and Sunderland at home within 3 days of each other in March. One potential promotion clash there. How Sunderland will do is another matter.

Call me old fashioned but I tend to go to watch Barnsley. The opposition isnt so significant
and as for the insult to Accrington Stanley thats just pathetic. Accrington are playing the likes of Barnsley Sunderland Charlton Coventry etc because they have performed to the level required. They are in the same league as us on merit. Or are you also insulted at Playing Sunderland and Charlton?
Good job we arent in the Prem - how would you face playing Bournemouth.
if our opposition isnt good enough for you why not pop over to Manchester - they have a couple of teams that might suit

Reading through the list is quite depressing. My brother in law ( Mackem) wanted us to
attend Reds v Sunderland home and away, but I see both games are on a Tuesday night.
He lives in Walsall, so it looks like we'll only get to the game at Oakwell now.

Well it looks like the knucle-dragging happy-clappers are out in force today doesn't it? Are you happy about us playing in League 1? Does it fill you with the same excitement reading these fixtures as it did this time last year? If so, you must be absolutely derranged. A lower standard of football? Less attendances? Less money? Poorer players? Yet the price remains the same. The actual cost is of little importance to me, I just expect "bang for my buck".

Would you look at a car that was brand new and cost, say £30,000.....but decide to buy a second hand one of the same make and model but it had 40,000 miles on the clock and a few bumps and scrapes. Would anyone here buy the second vehicle if it cost the same as the brand new one? I don't think so.

This is what we are being asked to do. Pay the same price for an inferior product.

And on the issue of my insulting Accrington Stanley. If you think for one minute that we should be in the same league as them then you deserve to watch the total crap in store for you next season. If your aspirations for the club start and end wherever the club is at this moment in time then the club will never progress. The fans, the players and the board should all be ASHAMED to have been relegated, every minute of this upcoming season is a scar on the face of this once-proud club. The sooner we get promoted, the better and shame on all who just "accept" this awful state of affairs.

To be honest I really haven't the patience to seriously answer your nonsense. I'll give you the bullet points though...,
    Self entitled
    Foot stamping
    Massives
    Unrealistic
No appreciation of the history of the club
