Just to be clear about my original post. I was just saying the reality had hit home nothing more. Certainly not suggesting we are too good for this league as some seem to think.
Here here476.50 my seat. No way I'm going after the wilful neglect of the club appointing morais. Let them subsidise the club.
What is a knuckle dragging happy clapper ? I assume it's someone who opposes a negative post . Is it a compliment or is it an insult ? I assume that someone who accuses a person of being a knuckle dragging happy clapper must believe their opinion is the right one, it must be wonderful to always be correct. I"m not sure what I am , I just follow my team through thick & thin, currently it's on the thin side but I know eventually it will change again, it always does
Surely it's painful to have sore knuckles and happy clap? Would it be ok if I just stamp my feet and shout "jolly good"?
I assume that was aimed at myself. I do not think we are too good for league one. I think for the last 18 months we have been totally dire and its not good enough. There is a difference.
What a pompous twit you really are. Its an internet message board, I have raised my opinion and as usual, the old guard jump to the defense of the clowns in charge, whoever they are. I am 29 years old and have followed Barnsley home and away for 24 years so in terms of "history" it isnt that long however as a percentage of my life, its a vast one. Like I say, I think we have been totally mismanaged and we should be higher up the pyramid than we are.
Pompous twit, lol. Fair enough. I don't think I threw an insult around like knuckle dragging happy clapper. Nor has my support in the past been dependent on what division we're playing in. The idea is that you support your team through thick and thin. Not throw your teddy out of the cot when you can't have your own way. Maybe we should be granted entry to the Premier League and have a rule that we can never be relegated. Then you'd never have to watch us test your paper thin loyalty by having to play the "likes" of Accrington Stanley.
We were poor but we did play decent at times near end. Beat a gd brentford and sheff u team. Played well at prem bound cardiff and should of got summat from game at bellend road. If we can sign 5 or 6 decent lakers we wont fear anyone
Was more of a general point covering a few posts not just yours. Only my view I have no problem with people having a different take on things.
There’s a club called Leeds Utd that’s about 22 miles north. Maybe try going to one of their games and forum. You’d fit right in there with your thoughts. If that fails try S6.
The point about paying the same price for an inferior product is one I totally agree with. Especially when the owners are so wealthy. It’s just playing on the loyalty of the fans and treating them with disrespect. Accrington Stanley fully deserve to be in this league with Barnsley and they are one of the few interesting fixtures on the list. The rest is pretty uninspiring stuff and not great value for money. I don’t care how long prices have been frozen or how much per game a season ticket is on the early bird price, it still disappoints me that the owners missed a golden opportunity to reward loyal fans with a price reduction.
Football is about ups and downs, no divine right or guarantee of "progress" or success. A winning team, whatever the level we play at, will feel like good value. I've been watching Barnsley since 1980. Whilst 26th April 1997 is the pinnacle of the club's history, some of our greatest success, greatest players, greatest entertainment and greatest memories were during periods in the third tier. And I wouldn't swap them for anything.
I respect everyone's right to hold an opinion, but to speculate that we might struggle or battle against relegation at this point, honestly doesn't make any sense to me. The new Coach starts on the 1st July. Let's at least give the bloke a chance to introduce himself to the players he intends to keep and bring in any new recruits that he and his fellow coaches feel can adapt to the way he wants the team to play, before we form any view on our prospects for Season 2018/19. As for the renewal of season passes, that is a matter for each individual. Thank the Lord we have a hard core of supporters who will commit regardless of the League that we are playing in. My overriding hope is that the Board have kept this seasons prices at their current level because they intend to reward fan loyalty by signing some quality players who can help us in our hopes for re-instatement to the upper echelons of the EFL.
Thats rich coming from you I have to say. You are the most pathetic, ridiculous poster on this board. Always posting absolute rubbish trying to wind people up with your shocking "humour".
