Yes, the same player who we paid good money for & not so long ago was player of the year at Leeds , but hey lets sell to rivals , you know it makes sense

Not knowing what that was, I looked it up, and you're right, it does. Makes your arse and your belly stick out.

Used to be a thyroid issue. Now it’s anterior pelvic tilt issue. Town is plagued by it.

There isn't a day goes by I don't learn something really important on here.

I don't have a beer gut then, just an anterior pelvic tilt issue.

But our players are League One standard at best so we will have to sell them to potential rivals if we want to get rid. Mowatt is definitely one to get rid of.

    Can't see the problem.

I hope you have the same opinion if Luton or other rivals we sell to, finish above us next season . I do not know why we want to get rid of Mowatt or Pearson , it should be a clean slate under the new coach

We have way too many players in the squad. Both were not getting first team football, so I don't see the issue, if we have had a decent offer.
Anyone we are getting rid of that wasn't getting into our team in the Championship is likely to go to a L1 club, that is just common sense.

agree with you but we are a division one club ourselves & if our rivals think these players are good enough then why don"t we, at least give the new coach chance to work with them

I would have thought he will have looked at videos & will have been consulted. Obviously contractual terms mean he hasn't officially started, but he's been seen in Barnsley & I'm sure he's been hard at work consulting with GG on the quiet re players he wants & ones he'd be happy to lose.

I'd hope Stendel would have seen some videos of them plus taken advice from Hassell etc to enable him to be happy for them to go.
Mowatt is still with us but, given that he was signed for decent money to ostensibly replace Hourihane, he must be near the upper limits of our wage structure.

7 starts 5 subs for Barnsley

20 starts 10 subs for Oxford who finished 16th last season.

Hardly setting the world alight is he? He's also one of the highest earners at the club in a position we have plenty of players. To ship him out should mean we can spend the money on players who can come into the team and improve it in positions we are currently weak, ie a new keeper and a pacy winger.

Let's be honest, he's not going to turn into the next Redders any time soon is he.

Well if he's one of the highest earners at the club, then unless he gets a better offer (which I very much doubt) or we pay him up ... He won't be going anywhere

Simply, we have a bloated squad of players who pretty much to a man weren't good enough for the Championship last season. So much so that we chopped and changed and many of the squad only managed about 20 games, less in some cases. We had so many attacking midfielders that we loaned 3 of them out, and another we signed we've since got rid of.

We've still 6 midfielders who are more like a number 10 than a sitting midfielder, or allrounder. Some of those are going to go. I'd go so far as to say 3 of them need to go to allow better rebalancing to take place.

I'd stick with Bird to develop and bring through, i expect Moncur might be allowed to leave as he's in the final year of his deal, Potts i reckon will stay, That leaves Mowatt, McGeehan and Mallan still. Out of those three, and as others have pointed out, in the 18 months Mowatts been contracted to us, he's done absolutely nothing of significance.

If Luton are the highest placed team interested, it shows teams higher up don't rate him enough to sign him.

If Luton do finish above I don't think them signing Matty Pearson will be the main reason.

You'd have thought so. Didnt really burn it up at Oxford either though and he had plenty of time there to make an impact.
Oh well, he's still here for Stendel to assess.
