Yep. He wants to come here so we’re still chasing him just need to agree a fee. Unsure on timescale of it all though.

Sadly we've had that scenario too many times before and most recently it hasn't worked at all. We NEVER bring in a suitable replacement.

Even an average coach should have/would have kept us up... So we deserve all we got really, with our inept judgement..

As for players in/out.. You do realise that we are 6 million pound worse off after relegation and you are wanting a near on 30 man squad... Who is going to pay for em?. Not heard any "we're backing the new coach 100%" noises. A touch of realisms needed here
If we fail in our promotion aim this season, then it will be definitely a fire sale next summer and a new coach.. Behind the smiles at Oakwell they'll be a hell lot of pressure on this season, no mistake..

I thought we had already lost approx 7 players, so you think we should sell all our assets & try & do it on the cheap , I was hoping that there might have been a little left in the war chest from the previous fire sale & hopefully we could give it a go at getting back , & yes I am backing the new coach , to the tune of a couple of season tickets . I said that I thought that the addition of three or four players plus the rest of the remaining squad would hopefully give us enough to have a go , so I am actually supporting a reduction in the squad

If we make the appalling mistake of selling and trying to buy on the cheap yet again, then we will end up in this league for some years to come, if we're lucky!. It hasn't cost us £6 mill though has it by dropping out of the Champship, I think it just means we won't earn that this season, rather than that amount having to come out of our bank account etc.

The squad needs to come down in size & we need a bit of quality. Hopefully a few of our own U23's will make up the numbers.

Agreed, with Williams & Gardener having gone back , Hammill , Townsend & Ash released & Pearson plus Knasmuller being sold we have already trimmed the squad by seven & I also think there is another striker whose name I cannot remember also gone , so pruning the squad has been taking place .

And including those offered pro contracts (assuming they sign), we still have a first team squad of 28.

Tuton was the striker who was out of contract

I can't imagine that the new owners want to fail so our best chance of success would be to keep hold of our better players and trim the squad of fringe players.
If Moore has a good season with us his price tag is only going up.
Make him feel wanted and tell him he's staying for now because we need him.

I have nothing against our “thinking outside the box” approach, even if we did end up with the worse coach/manager in living memory. But Stendel is another massive gamble- our best chance of success would have been to hire someone like Grayson who applied for the job and has a proven track record at this level. So, who knows what they’ll be thinking with regard Moore, but I reckon 2 million and he’s gone.

History says your probably right regarding selling Moore, as for Stendel who knows what the future holds, I would have been happy with Grayson and his track record.
Stendel needs a positive start to avoid the knives being out early doors as Morais found out.
