France and Uruguay- bad as each other behaviour-wise.

Pity they can’t both be eliminated and Japan invited back in. Sickening to watch.

Yeah, Japan upheld the spirit of fair play and no mistake.

But it’s not just France and Uraguay, it’s football or as commentators call it modern football.

Watching Mbappe and Neymar roll around is the example kids will be copying after the world cup. The higher the level the more cheating.

If we carry on getting relegated we can go back to old fashioned football where you can tackle and get stuck in. We’ll still be selling players for profit but success on the park may be few and far between.

While I get your point can hardly blame them for doing it.

They'll keep doing it as long as FIFA sanction it which, through their inaction, they are doing.

And Im sick already of hearing about this French kid M'Bappe, talk about over rating somebody after a couple of good matches. He showed that he can cheat with the best of them today when he got the slightest flick on his shirt.

I've only seen the highlights but Mbappe is a disgrace, just like Neymar. They have no shame whatsoever so FIFA need to grow a set and start to hang these cheats out to dry. Punish them and it will stop, ignore it or make excuses for them and, as others have said, the next generation of footballers will be copying him.

I don’t blame the players, they’ll do anything to win, you only get the chance every 4 years.

It’s the referees & FIFA that need to do a better job & put a stop to it

I find it hard to feel any sympathy for Uruguay and players like Suarez of course. But it was a shame they missed Cavani today because Ive liked the fact that they have stuck with the typical 2 up front, and they as a partnership have been a right handful. Once again France got off lightly without really impressing!.

VAR sees everything. Retrospective bans for simulation stops it.
