..Well, now we're playing Sweden whereas Belgium are against Brazil. Again, not saying it will be easy at all but would we rather be against Brazil instead?

Definitely not. Though Brazil might have put us out of our misery before half time. I reckon the Sweden game will drag torturously on for 120 nailbiting minutes.

We’ll notch early in either half and have a stress free afternoon. Don’t worry pal, it’s happening.
The one negative thing will be losing to Brazil to yet another neymar dive in the final. This will be redeemed by next March though by the might of our wonderful red army being promoted.
    Yes, March

I think if we actually got to the final and got done over by a Neymar dive I'd explode.
I'm all for the promotion by March bit though.

Can't see beyond victories for France and Brazil to be honest, DT. I'd like Belgium and Uruguay to win as it would make a change, though not particularly a refreshing one in Uruguay's case.
France look the best team there in my eyes and I'd dearly love them to dump out Neymar and co in the semi.

Why all the Brazil love? They’ve been poor, but effective. I’d rather play them than Belgium. France and Croatia the standout sides for me. If we have to play the latter in the semis, I wouldn’t be confident.

Brazil are Brazil. I would never want us to play them, no matter how poor they look.

I thought Croatia were the standout side after the group games, but they didn't look very good against a bang average Denmark team.

For 25 minutes Belgium were torn apart by Japan. Admittedly, the way they came back was very impressive and the winning goal was fantastic, but they certainly showed their vulnerabilities and had to turn to Fellaini playing as an old school centre forward against a very small team. He wouldn't have made nearly the same impression against Stones and Maguire.

I’d back both games to be draws in 90 minutes today.

    10/1 on William Hill.

Can see 2 very tight games which might be decided on Penalties.

Well France are my pick to win the whole thing, have been before the tournament started haha. Plus I'm hearing is still out for Uruguay which is a game changer.
Brazil-Belgium, I'd have to SLIGHTLY favor Brazil but I have no idea. The world cup and knockout tournaments in general are all about the draw, this game could've easily been the final.

That's my one and only World Cup bet come in - Belgium to reach the semi's @ 5/1. Winnings equivalent to around 25 beers in the tiny Russian pub round the corner. Or three in the hotel bar.
