i thought I better write a proper thread before I’m lynched by the do good society.
England, absolutely class today. Sweden have beaten good teams, defended well and been our bogey team for a while. Back 6 we’re unreal. I think young could cut back and deliver earlier at times but still did well. Stones, maguire and Walker very good back 3 and trippier has been one of our top players.
I’d like to see Ali and sterling come alive a little more. I want to see sterling in behind and Ali in and around the box as he does for Spurs. I think if those two get on the ball more which leaves Kane more up top rather than dropping back to link up play.
    That ok?

Nothing wrong with that mate...i had special shouts for pickford maguire and henderson.
I thought england out manovered sweded in every department....quicker to the first and second phase ball and more effective in possesion...we passed and played through their lines with almost an embaressment at times....well done england!!

Yes agreed Ali needs to do more work linking the play as Kane was often deep doing his job. Still can’t complain all told

Kane is a brilliant leader but I agree he is dropping deep more often than I'd like him to. Having said that, it is working and we're looking like a proper team.

Game finished with 5 Yorkshiremen on the pitch. England just missing a Paul Scholes to be a really class act.
