The lad Stendel needs to get moving in the transfer market if Bradshaw is to go.
But it could be he's seen enough in some of our development lads to give a run in the first team the lad Victor Adebajayo just might be the man.

Cardiff paid £6 million for Madine in January after he'd scored about the same number of Championship goals as Bradshaw up until the same time. Got to be worth £3 million based on that.

When he goes it'll be undisclosed as usual like the rest. Don't care what the fee is if youre serious about promotion you don't sell your leading scorer end of

I'm sure we'll have "made a profit and retained a future interest in the player".

Exactly. Wonderfully vague statement worthy of a politician. Could mean we made £1M profit and have a 20% sell-on clause ; could also mean we made £1 profit and have a 5% sell-on clause.

So what you want is for them to tell us exactly how much we've got for each player.
Would you believe them if they did?

Haven't Coventry just sold Marc mcnulpty for 1.5million so 800k is peanuts especially when Walsall will have a sell on fee.

    Paper talk.

Big chance he'll go and with only a year left on his deal that's not the worst thing in the world if he can be suitably replaced. Already rejected more than £800k for him so I wouldn't take those figures as gospel.

We might make a profit on the transfer fee. But very much doubt we will have made a profit on the whole deal when all the cost and man hours are added up.

If this proves to be true (And it is only the mirror, lets not forget that) then we support one of the most amatuer run football clubs ive ever heard of. We simply dont learn. We paid nearly a million for Thiam (and im not convinced theres a park footballer in him). And before anybody says 'maybe stendal doesent like the look of him' or 'he wont fit into this revolutionary new super duper high press style' hes still worth 3 times that in todays money and ability wise in this division, which if it werent for our fantastic new board and owners, we wouldnt be in this division in the first place. Barmy!

Are we still talking about Bradshaw here because if you're going to put the cost and man hours on the scales are you suggesting that in his time here he sat on his arse, did nothing and provided no value to the club?

Only got to look at Wigan , retained their better players and pissed the third division . Now if a tiny club like fooking Wigan can pay the going rate why can’t we ?

I mentioned it the other week but can't find the post. Doubt we have sold anyone yet for a legit profit. Say we sell Bradshaw for 800k to make 200k on transfer fees, no doubt we will mention making a profit. But over two years of weekly wages, bonuses in his contract, signing on fee, agent fee, whatever was spent trying to make the deal such as petrol, hotel stays etc will easily take up the transfer profit, so we would be selling him at a loss.

I hope you are right, but there’s a lot of smoke here. New owners or not, we’re still Barnsley. We a long tradition of undervaluing players, and cashing in our most saleable assets - especially those on short contracts.

So what you ARE saying then is that in return for his wages, bonuses etc he contributed absolutely nothing.
His wages and bonuses were in exchange for him being in the squad, contributing and scoring goals. He did that. If we'd put him in a cardboard box in a cupboard for two years your argument would make sense.
