    One of my favourite players growing up as a kid was Alan Gilzean. Unfortunately after a brave
    fight against an aggressive brain tumour, the former Dundee, Tottenham Hotspur and Scotland
    striker has died at 79 years old. RIP Alan.

    Very skillful player. As one of the earlier posters mentioned, part of a top class partnership with "Big Chiv". Have seen them numerous times trot out onto White Hart Lane to the tune of McNamara's band. Martin Chivers was the sword and Alan Gilzean was the rapier.

    Red. He originally came from Coupar Angus so perhaps family still live in the area. Dundee courier Web site does an announcement section so perhaps you could keep an eye on that for any information. If I was to hear anything I'll post you the info.
