This thread is like opening old wounds up haha I would absolutely love for it to be true. I truly believe he would be too good for most full backs in league 1 again.
Willing to try anything Dear Santa , I know it’s a bit early but if you could get us Adam back that would be great! We’ve all been very good, well most of us have, OK SOME of us, well probably Jamdrop and JLWBL have. Anyway we will all try to be better if you could sort it.cheers NYR
If this is true, then he’s unlikely to have got a contract offer elsewhere yet then. Not the done thing in pre-season.
All dayer - Absolutely blindo ? He was sat at home with his family, preparing to watch the England game Saturday afternoon.
Adam is a legend as a BFC fan. He would be exactly what we need. Play him deep in midfield. He can pick a pass & tackle & could still break forward.
The amount of good will this would generate must surely make it viable. Really, really stupid to not put him in a position where he can move into coaching for us after retirement. I believe he’d be a fantastic coach and he is dedicated to the club.
Well he was racing my lad on the cricket field after the game and was the last one in the bar at 10.30pm when they left.
Its a no brainer for me. I get all the developing within our means bit but resigning Hammill would send a huge message that there is an understanding of the heartbeat of the club. Adam has been a true legend of our club and would still be of value on the playing staff. If he truly wants to stay on we should be seriously considering it.
Don't post much these days, but couldn't avoid replying to this. What a fantastic boost it would be if the lad came back! He'll always be a legend regardless, but surely he's got something to offer? I hope he's coming home. Ain't Nobody ⚽
It would also send a message that we aren't so blinkered that we refuse to deviate from the awful plan and that we are committed to running a Football club who's primary aim is success on the field and not a business who's primary aim is to make some cash for the owners
Ahh now it's too nice a morning to be falling out. Let's agree it would be a significant nod towards building the community, in it together vibe that is probably lacking at the moment. It's something the new owners said they were attracted to when they first took over. It would be nice to see that reflected a little better in what they're doing.
I'm not trying to say that the new owners are here to line their bank accounts, if they are they made a big error of judgement in buying us. I just meant it would be a great way to send the message out that they're here for on the field success
One thing I will say is this. They said that they want to grow the club gradually and within that process develop the on field strength. That's fine. As yet I haven't seen any evidence of attempts to grow the club off the field whether it be in marketing or schemes to get more bodies through the turnstiles. It's early days but I'll be looking for some sort of developments over the coming 12 months.
So he went out after the game to his local to celebrate England's win. Not quite the same as a dayer.
