Always quite liked the bloke. Decent broadcaster & proper football fan. Everyone has a right to an opinion about any broadcaster, entertainer, etc,
    that's part of the game.

It just shows you if you trace many peoples' families back a generation or two you will find someone from overseas
as part of the bloodline. Just shows how ridiculous this "taking our country back" ******** is.

I've never had a problem with the guy, and don't really get why people do. Each to their own.

Agree with you about Chiles. Saw this tweet the other day that illustrates your 2nd point:

My only reason for having my opinion was meeting him at Oakwell when West Brom and he had the attitude of I’m on tv so I can do what I want

Accompanied my Brother in law to a West Brom game once when I was in the Midlands visiting him and my Sister.
We were lucky enough to have access to one of the hospitality suites and Ally Brown, the late Cyrille Regis,
Adrian Chiles and Frank Skinner were all in there. Chiles and Skinner both came over as approachable, affable, normal down to earth Baggies fans, quite happily chatting and joking with fellow supporters. Nowt wrong with either of the blokes from what I could see. Sad to think that unfortunately, Cyrille is no longer with us.

Never minded him - my mate's a journalist and a massive Baggies fan and has met him on several occasions- speaks very highly of him

Worked with him loads - he’s a top bloke. No airs or graces or ‘owt. He came out on the beers with us on Friday. First to put his hand in his pocket.

Always comes across as a nice bloke, I’m not his biggest fan as a sports presenter on the BBC, prefer Chapman, Cates, Murray but no issue with him

Think it was looking specifically at 1st and 2nd generations of immigrants.

Go back far enough and our ancestors are apes. For me it's my granddad.

So we've got 2 'English' origin surnames left in the team - Pickford and Stones.
