I asked this before a year or two ago and ended up doing quite a few for some people on here. It's just something I'm quite good at and enjoy doing, I don't charge for it. Would anyone like to find out a bit about their family history? I can usually trace back to about 1100 AD, but once or twice I've gotten as far back as 800 AD, complete with names, places and sometimes stories. It can take a little while but it's really interesting. I use a combination of Ancestry.co.uk, public records and some serious online research. PM me if interested - I'd need names as far back as you know down whichever side you'd like to know more about. Great grandparents very helpful.
mate, I'm more than interested. I had little run at ancestry.com for a week or so and got a lot of forebears back to the early 1800's and one at 1780. I stopped after a week or so. one of mine was a manager bookeeper for the earl of Wentworth. I saw a copy of an old map that had our name all over Bank End. I reckon I couldha been the sub-earl of Bank End. Should you accept this mission.... i'd certainly shout you a good meal and drinks int tarn..
I’m very interested mate. I’ve done so much on ancestry but I’m not 100% how accurate I was as it’s really easy to get sidetracked and go off on a different line. Cheers Dean
I haven't received a PM from you, are you sure it sent? I accept the challenge but there's a bit of a lin forming in my inbox. Drop me a PM and we'll take it from there It's pretty easy - it can be tempting when you see a line that someone else has made to just add it to your tree because it looks like it fits, when sometimes it doesn't. I only add members I can verify to the tree.
Would love you to do mine any help appreciated. Richard Andrew Nichols is my name my mother Ann Tinker. Father David Nichols. Grandparents on fathers side Edmund Oakley Nichols and married to Emily. Mothers parents Colin And Joan Tinker.
I had that with my hubby's side. Most of the public trees has one of his great something grandads in lancaster when most connections were the north east. Folk found an ancestor in India and ran with it by the looks of it. I found a second one in India - which was the correct one
