The former Leeds United player has passed away aged 73. A very stylish, cultered, versatile player from my childhood. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44932721
Very poised and calm under pressure. After he retired he was involved in the family Paint supply and decorating tools business for many years. Leeds had a number of players who like Revie didn't exactly endear themselves to the wider football fraternity. Paul certainly wasn't in that category. Came over as self effacing. An assured, modest professional who as POR says was like our own Paul Futcher- he just got on with the job. RIP Paul Madeley.
Yet another from my childhood passes away. Remember him as part ot the great Leeds side. R. I. P. Paul.
He wore every shirt in the Leeds team from numbers 2 to 12. Proper footballer, happy to play anywhere he was asked. RIP one of the greats
RIP, an exceptional player, should have had more International recognition, a vital part of an exceptional Leeds team, he had a shop in Morecambe and a holiday home in Kendal at one time...
I seem to remember Allan Clarke saying he'd tried to talk Paul Madeley out of his plans to retire in 1980 and sign for Barnsley. Paul thanked him for the opportunity, but declined the offer.
