I agree Potts isn't pretty or very skillfull but he always put in 100% he would put himself about and I like the fact he would always try drive forward with the ball (was a breath of fresh air instead of the crabby twins in the center) I could be wrong but i think he had the most goals for a midfielder and the most assists in the team last season.
He consistently gave the ball away and often disrupted our play by getting in the way . But as I sAy give the lad a chance
Didn’t we make about £8/9m from John Stones? Not bad for a lad who had made 24 appearances for our first team! If Jack Marriott flops at Derby they have made £2m minus the £500kthey paid for him and the supposed ££500k they have have to pay Luton as sell on). McAnthony is a salesman. In fact made his money selling timeshare! I agree they sell well, but they have proven track record - Boyd, Gayle, Assombalonga, Mackail-Smith of picking up and selling quality strikers. Only real ‘flop’ of their sold players is Washington. Makes it easier to say the striker you’re selling is worth what you’re asking if you have demonstrated selling equally good or better players. Just like we can with defenders after selling Stones, Mawson, Holgate, Roberts, Bree etc. I wish we could start buying and selling quality strikers like Posh do. Trouble is we don’t tend to give them the time. Kayden Jackson never played for us, now there is championship interest in him and valued over £1m. Interestingly Peterborough are also interested. Suppose as long as we had a sell on we will make a bit more on him.
No he didn't. I actually commented at games and made a point of watching who could retain and manage the ball best. Potts was one of the better ones at it. But I'm glad your gonna give him a chance.
If it's Hull City that want Bradders, we should hold out for more. If as is being rumoured Leicester are prepared to sell Harry Maguire for £65 million to Manchester United, Hull will kop for a large sell on fee. To offer a mere £500k is a downright insult.
I mean I know we got relegated last season but I’m not sure I’ve ever heard the player who was second in the player of the season vote be called a “liability”.
Think some folk have their wires crossed on this thread. Bid rejected for BRAD Potts not Tom BRADshaw.
What an offensive bid to try and get him for around when he cost us. Any club bidding that should be told to F off if they think we haven't improved him as a player, after a season two leagues above where we got him.
Bang on. We paid more than that for a L2 player. I would call him a decent Championship player with the potential, with the right coaching, to be a good championship player. Hopefully he can really boss the midfield in L1. I think he will personally and we’ll see more goals where he arrives late into the box.
Not sure we would we paid 500k for him what's point on breaking evens on one of our better laikers. Plus he has 2 years with an option for another 1 still left
Hull City are interested in Bradshaw. http://the72.co.uk/111270/hull-city-remain-interested-barnsley-striker/
£2.5m plus add ons. No messing about. And would hope we have Chaplin and 1 other other ‘proven’ league 1 striker lined up to replace him. Otherwise he can stay and score the goals to take us back up to championship banking us c£6m extra revenue.
[QUOTE) Millwall, Sheff U, Derby and Hull all interested. I reckon its fair to say he's probably off soon.[/QUOTE] Maybe not. He'll score more goals in Div. 1 alongside Moore, then get a better move in January, unless we're in the top 2.
