I think with Potts people made their opinions up quite fast same with Jackson season before. When people have made up their minds they don't like to go back. The in opinions reading various social media outlets is cavare **** jason McCarthy world beater. Thiam **** Potts ****, mallan the next Conor can't believe we sold him.....

This 100%. It’s always the same.

I remember watching the first couple of games of last season and seriously questioning Potts but, given his step up in divisions, it was understandable that he’d take time getting to speed with the league. I thought second half of the season he was one of our best players and I think that shows with him coming second in the player of the year award.

Always remember: No Potts, no points.

I thought he struggle with the transition from league 2 to the championship but that’s no surprise - he was in a poor team.

I’m not convinced he has the ability to make it as a good quality championship midfielder but with a good season ahead of him in league one then it’s possible. You can’t fault his endeavour and I hope he has a good season for us. He’s only a young lad isn’t he?

He’s one of a few central midfielders who have got an important season ahead in terms of where their careers will end up.

Relegation and Cryne would have snapped their hands off to get money back.
