Having read this forum during the close season I have read many threads regarding things that are still not right off the field.

I just wonder how much the owners are aware of the various issues.

I would have thought we would be moving forwards and improving by now but I see no evidence to suggest such.

In fairness, those assumptions are based on 1 friendly.

If come next Saturday the same issues are evident then there's cause for concern

For all we know, there could be lots of plans in place to be unveiled for our first league game. Do I believe that to be the case? Possibly not, but ever the optimist I hope it is the case!

    No they are not.
Some issues have been going on for a few years.

I meant more in regards to the new owners being able to leave a mark.

But I can't disagree with what you've said

I guess I'm just less arsed about it all

I have a fair old journey every game and I'm just happy I'm able to go and see my mates and enjoy (sometimes) a bit of football

Once upon a time, the CEO/General Manager (and even owner) met with fan representatives regularly whether that be private meetings or fan engagement forums. It's next to impossible for the Trust to even get a meeting these days. There's been 1 fan engagement forum meeting that GG has organised and it seemed they were just looking at feedback on ideas they had rather than discussing fan issues (was ill so this is based on feedback from those that attended). If my memory serves there have been 2 such meetings since Mansford left. How long ago is that now?
I'm pretty frustrated that there seemed to be a decent relationship between club and fans under Mansford where there was a real appetite to improve but we seem to have been in reverse ever since he left. I don't know, maybe part of that was the euphoria of the promotion run but it really feels like we've gone backwards and there is little interest from the top. I know the staff on the ground do their best with limited resources and I'm not having a go at them.

I think its pretty obvious, even to them on here who choose to live with their head in the sand and pretend everything’s hunky dory, the clubs potless, they’ve not even got one to piss in.

How long are you thinking of giving him ?, and on what are you judging him ?. Surely you can’t be judging him on his abilities to get transfer deals done, organising basic maintenance of the Oakwell complex, bringing new sponsors to the table, improving the match day experience, having a plan to improve the club, and gradually show signs of the plan working otherwise you would have come to the same conclusion as me months ago,
So just out of interest on what are you judging his ability to do the job he’s being paid to do.

That's my worry. Carry on same as always, owners bank sell on clauses from players to cover what it cost them to buy the club so they aren't out of pocket and then whatever they sell us for whenever that might be is pure profit for them.

******** Ben used to talk loads hence why he was called ******** Ben and why he was (is?) a football agent.

I don’t feel the need to know the ins and outs of what’s going on behind the scenes and I’m not sure why anyone would need to?
