They once selected Jim mcnimpty pinnock is by far and away our best player And on no way im.I suggesting that , Lindsay is a bad player
The managers and players don’t think that ,I would say we have good CBs can we not just agree on that, I’m sure they have different attributes . There are some things you don’t see from the stand
Lindsay’s our best defensive passer. It’s why his fellow centre backs constantly give him the ball to play it out from the back as they know he’s better at it than they are
Then we are ******. It's his biggest weakness. He tried putting a ball anywhere beyond the other defenders and it invariably goes to the opposition
I think he's our best centre half. We've had a lot better in the past, but he's alright. I do think people are going to change their view of Pinnock over this season. I don't think he's nearly as good as what people believe.
I agree pinnock is too quiet on the pitch for a centre back especially as he is the elder of the CBs , although he is a decent player
The lads only played 12 times at a professional level. I think the lad has a big future, and once he has a couple of seasons in the professional game under his belt he could be a very good defender. However at the moment it’s all potential. Some think he has loads others don’t. That’s to be expected.
Nowt wrong with that we all see things differently Genuine question. Do you sit in the Ponty or east? Or west?
I like Lindsay in fact I think We have 3 good center backs for league one. I agree with you though for someone who came billed as a ball playing center half at times he really struggled with that part of his game.
I like him. I think that based on last season he would be my third choice but its a very very good third choice
I refer the Right Honourable gentleman to the answer I gave yesterday. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/famous-infamous-posters-on-this-forum.270367/
Haha I'm honoured. You say you rarely agree but I think we are both in agreement that that Adolf fella was a bit of a wrong un
We have 3 very good centre backs. Based upon talent I think Pinnock has all the attributes to become the best out of the lot. Lindsays distribution is very poor lost count of the amount of diags not reaching a target or over hit and he dwells on the ball and gets caught out with the most basic of passes into midfield. He's still young and learning there's a lot to work with and if we can improve his distribution He'll become a very good player. Pinnock on the other hand has impressed on nearly every occasion must have the highest MOTM % against starts of any player. I though he would struggle when he stepped in against Preston agains Hugill but he bossed him and didn't give him a sniff all game. Jackson for me is the glue to the back line plays differently to the other 2 and looked better with a run of games. I'd like to see a pairing of Pinnock and Jackson for a prolonged period.
