I'll agree he's no Akinfenwa, but then who is?

He'll do alright this season, few goals, few assists.

You really must get out the wrong side of the bed every day.

New season with a new manager so they all get a fresh start for me.

Hope and expect Thiam and the rest to hit the ground running Saturday and put a few past Oxford.

I think he’ll do ok missen.
We had a losing mentality last season and I don’t think many of em came out with much glory to say the least but imo at some point in the season we’ll click as a team and some heroes will come forth and Mamadou imo could be one of em .

I expect wages may of been abit diffrent though. But keeping the trend going we could of had mahrez for 150k cheaper than Alex mowatt!!

He looks an excellent option out wide. I think it’s time that was correctly judged against the other wide players at our disposal. He offered more last season, particularly under Morais, than Isgrove, Hedges and Hammill yet he’s always critiques as though he’s a central striker.

I thought that he played very well against both WBA and Hull looking a threat in both matches.

Big season ahead for Thiam, I’m sure that he’ll rise to the challenge and quieten the boo boys.

Could you name a player you have been positive about? I thought I was grumpy but you could give me a pink and a black start!

    Who booed Thiam?

Or any other player for that matter.

I used to be positive about lots of players. Unfortunately most predate the BBS. Not much to be positive about with regards to this lot at the moment.

Can't say I heard it. Not unjustified to be fair. It's on him to prove them wrong. Lots of work to do.

Don’t understand booing - can’t see how it is ever productive.
Having said that I don’t rate Thiam and wouldn’t be starting with him. I think one winger and another midfielder would be more positive - that would allow us to play Mowatt and Potts which would be my preferred option. Scowen proved that you can play effectively as an extra midfield player without being a winger.

So you justify booing our own players?

Footballers will be booed. Just like they will also be disgustingly overpaid. Swings and roundabouts.

Do you think though that it's justifiable for you to boo a Barnsley player?

I'll be honest I don't do friendlys but he has had a year and half to prove himself 2 diffrent head coaches he didn't do too much on loan at Oxford so I wouldn't get too excited about 2 friendlys hope he proves me wrong.

I was only wondering whether you'd been to those games, because they would explain why Mowatt is back in town.

I also wouldn't have had him anywhere near the team had i not seen him lean and mean and keen and beating players in those games.

He might prove me wrong too, but he looked the part. Especially playing with Dougall.
