with the exception of one are the same gutless players who laid down and died against Forest and Derby, when our destiny was in our own hands. Those performances were as dishonest as any served up by Kennedy and Wiseman. Lots of work to do to convince me. Sobering realism ahead of the new season.
I prefer to see them as the young lads stepping up in the main from League 1,2 or u23s football and giving it their best go at the championship playing against multi million pound players, and for the most part being competitive but just falling short, despite the fact it was a whole new squad with a change of manager thrown in. Clean slate, full support, and hope for a great season. Wouldn’t bother going unless I got enjoyment from it. Different folks different strokes.
My opinion is that Morais was clueless & demotivating for the players - barmy as well! A new focus for young players who need proper guidance. From what I have seen, we are playing with purpose & will support them throughout the season, come what may
I think the manager as well as the players were to blame for our relegation but they at least tried, unlike most of the wasters that went down in 2014 - they just weren't good enough. As has been said, clean slate in a weaker division after they've all had the chance to gel in a much tougher league the season before. Bring it on.
They didn't win a home game for six years. How is that being competitive? We fell short in the worst bottom six in the history of second tier football.
Fortunately for them, convincing you is not on the players agenda. If it were they may as well give up before they start. If you can’t muster a hint of optimism on the eve of a new season then what’s the point? You just end up feeding your own misery.
I don’t know why you bother discussing the players as you come up with the same disrespectful and negative comments time after time, an amateurish view point as usual
Not miserable abart at it all. Just saying what I see. Probably the lowest ever PPG to survive in the second tier and this lot fell short. It was a widely held view that they gave up in those two games. Plenty of work to do in my opinion but hey ho. You're right they don't have to convince me of anything. Especially when there's a queue of people waiting to tell the players how great they are.
It's nice that you are so much in the player's thrall that you get so offended on their behalf. You need to show respect for other poster's opinions. Please explain why this is an amateurish view.
I show respect to posters who’s language that is not slanderous and disrespectful, your viewpoint is amateurish as you don’t look at the bigger picture or the context of the full situation
Not slander. The club's fate was in the player's hands and they didn't work hard enough. My opinion. You should change your name to Raving Fanny. Easiest thing to do is to stop reading my posts.
You talk about other posters being beige etc. but you along with nudger are the most repetitive posters on the BBS. It then comes across as looking for a rise from people to be honest. If fans aren't happy with the way the club is run, they have two choices really don't they? They either vote with their feet and walk away or they stick with their team and accept things aren't likely to change much anytime soon. Yes, completely fine to criticise and everyone has their right to, but when it is constant with zero positive comments it just comes across as depressing and pointless. People watch sport for escapism and enjoyment not to focus solely on everything that is **** with their team 24/7. There's enough depressing crap going off outside football without it spilling into people's favourite hobby etc.
So you talk about choices. You had a choice not to read or comment on this thread but you decided to do so. I have stuck with the club and given them £300 plus when they have asked for it. That gives me a right to an opinion - whether that be unrealistically positive or downright negative. We're all individuals. There should be no conformity of views on a football forum.
