    I agree with your point and I would like to keep Tom because he works hard and therefore seems suited to our newly adopted "gegenpress". That aside, I think we're getting side-tracked here. The original point I made was that the value of a player is dependent upon numerous factors and therefore we would not necessarily need to spend the same as we received for Bradshaw in order to adequately replace him (see previous examples). And if we did spend a similar amount, why would it matter if we got a player of similar ability contracted to the club beyond the summer? Considering he has 6 months left on his contract, anything over a million pound is a decent return in my opinion. Hope he stays, however, if he were to leave and the club identified a suitable replacement I wouldn't be too upset. And with regards to Chaplin, yes he is relatively unproven at this level but from what I have seen of Chaplin I just think he has better attributes than Bradshaw (e.g. pace, ability to score from outside the box). And at 21 he is a better prospect.

    If Jackson with 16 Div 4 goals is worth 2.5m Bradshaw must be a 20m man.
