Once again mentioned a £500k bid for Potts. If anyone has bid that, why exactly do they think we'd let him go for £250k less than we paid for him, with a year of Championship experience under his belt?
Because he got relegated from the championship so the only experience he has of that league is not being good enough? Not that I think he can't be in time but he was hardly a shining light in a poor team although he did get better over the season.
If he wasn't good enough though, why would anyone be trying to sign him in the first place? Teams don't usually sell first teamers for less than they paid for them, unless their contracts are about to end.
Don’t know anything about the lad. CM was the last position I thought we would be strengthening. Unless this lad is one for the future? Anyone seen him play? What type of player/position is he?
Know little about him but reports suggest he's an attacking mid. So that to me would suggest he is one for the future. However, he has already played a several games in league one last season and started on Saturday.
Know nothing about him. A quick google search seems to mention he is an attacking CM which as you say seems odd as we are fully covered in that area. Must be one for youth team maybe as we seem to have invested well in U23s so far this summer and with Stendels background in youth football, It seems there is a big emphasis on that.
http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=91448 Seems a lot of money for a kid who's only played a couple of dozen games and already been involved in a relegation and not even a close one like ours.
This is what come with having billionaire owners unfortunately, clubs demand silly fees for their players from us so were having to pay over the odds. The Mawson sell on fee has been well documented and everyone in the football league know about it.
I did a bit of research on this site and is supported and sponsored by Online gambling companies, among others. It doesn't mean the information is incorrect, but maybe a subtle way of encouraging people to place bets based on rumours. I don't bet and never have, but realise it is very easy to do it online. I think the way the Club is run now,we won't know who we are signing until they are at the club; a lot of these UK sites are mainly using guesswork or tips from Agencies.
On twitter that he’s had his medical and it’s a done deal. Loan back to Bury until January. Never known Barnsley sign and loan a player straight back. Certainly not at £500k. Different times!
Seems alot for a 18 year old lad from bury. Having said that if kayden Jackson joins Ipswich for 1.5million the sell on will almost cover it
Add to that the fact that he has (literally) hit the ground running this season. It would be hard to find someone with his attributes of strength and speed for half a million, unless of course there is another one with Hourihane's talents sculling around L2, or L1 that we could pick up for peanuts.
thing is if this is true then it could be quite shrewd move. Surely if he becomes our player and we let them keep him on loan, then surely we can put in a clause that he plays regular in their first team. Which will give him match fitness and experience. Not only that then also they should have to pay a percentage of his wages too.
