Since split with wife list a decent amount of weight now want to join a gym.
Got it down to Metrodome or DW as near to where living.
Anyone a member and which best option?

I'd just say whatever is cheaper. They all seem to have similar equipment and unless you have something specific in mind then you can probably do whatever you were going to do at one just as well at the other. It also means that if you don't stick to it then you've lost less money. Look at what you definitely want: do you need a pool? will you use a sauna? are you needing a particular time of day? will you take part in classes? If you just want typical equipment and weights then any will do.

You can get free day or week passes at almost all gyms, sign up to one of those, take a look around and then make a decision.

Metrodome free 1 day pass: https://www.fitnessflex.org.uk/metrodome/daypass

DW free 3 day pass: https://www.dwfitnessfirst.com/guest-pass-pages/3day/

Depends if you want some juice...

    Better are horizon and Honeywell.

    Cheaper, tend to be quieter,

Pay per session or non contract rolling monthly fee.

Swayed by a pool hence the two mentioned.
Just want to lose about 3 stone for health reasons and to open better choice of clothes.

If you want to lose weight and get fit comevto Crossfit, there’s a place at Carlton, I thought my fitness was relatively good till I tried that......it’s be far the best thing I’ve ever done!!! You can come for a week for £10 a think, I go 4/5 times a week and my strength and fitness as come on massively, honestly if you try it you’ll not look back

Buy a good pair of running shoes and run, run, run, then run again.
