https://uk.news.yahoo.com/does-transfer-window-shut-time-150058636.html but overseas its 31st of Aug.... but overseas clubs can still buy players from the English football leagues ... bloody nuts is that
Funny thing to me is the deadline time 17:00 FA must want to knock off early Or maybe the lease on their fax machine ends at 5pm tomorrow
But loan window is still open till end of month so can see a lot of clubs getting a player in loan till January with a permanent deal agreed.
It’s a bit strange, it’s no different signing a player on loan with an agreement to sign them perm in January. What exactly is the point of tomorrow’s deadline. Just seems odd. Surely loan deadline should be the same, or a rule to say it can only be a short term or season loan. No “agreement to sign” although that is probably unworkable. Typical FA nonsense.
It makes sense to have the transfer window end before the season starts, but not when other countries can still sign players from England.
It makes more sense to scrap the transfer window completely in my opinion. All it does is make players' agents loads of cash....
I think Italy shuts next week just before the Italian season starts. Apparently talks are taking place that it will be Europe wide at the start of August next season.
