Looks like a lorry has dropped a bit of bridge section off it's side. Car and another lorry involved, a tall lamppost has been tilted back against one of the houses. Could be delays.

My mum lives over the road, no one hurt, but could have been a different story if it was during term time...

I drove past at around 1.30/ 2 ish. Very lucky no one was walking on that bit of pavement. Some serious questions to answer for whoever secured the load. Can’t imagine that a lamp post landing on your house sounded trivial either.

It's the driver who secures the load. Been told it was going from Qualter Halls to Dover so he's made a terrible job of it.

Can count his lucky stars no one was injured. He wasn’t even going round a corner.

He'll loose his job and his licence for that... securing the load is definitely the drivers job. Shouldn't even leave where it was loaded, if he wasn't happy. As you and others have said,.. if someone was walking past... that's the way vosa and the police will look at it n'all

Those sections looked like they weighed several tons apiece. I don't think it was a roping and sheeting job.

    Opposite Budgeons? / Costcutter.
The terrace on the opposite side has a lamp post in the house, and damage to the pavement/ walls. The lorry pulled up before the car park where Poggy West End Club used to be, with load on pavement, and hanging off trailer. Photos on Barnsley Community on Facebook.
