Think tomorrows game at Bradford will be a real test. To me this is a good test to see where we are at, they are no mugs. Anyone else worried / excited / optimistic????
Well I predicted a draw against Oxford and that worked out quite well so I am going for a draw again - probably 1-1 - no way will we keep 2 clean sheets in a row
Looking forward to this one never been to Valley Parade before they've made some good signing pre-season and i think they'll be top 10 come end of the season as will we. I'm keeping my feet planted firmly on the ground it was a great start to the season but Bradford will be a lot tougher and our first real test of the season im going both teams to score and a goal between fingers crossed its in our favour. Think it'll take 10 games for Stendel to see what this leagues about and how teams are going to set up against us as we are perceived as one of the bigger clubs who are expected to be up there come end of the season. Bar Sunderland away this could be the 2nd highest attendance of the season and a Yorkshire derby so it should be a cracking atmosphere COYR
Hopefully a win. Theyve made some good signings but it's a brand new team that needs time to gel. We should know, weve been there. I think we should go all out for the win no matter how kamikaze it gets !
Expect Bradford to be a far thougher test at their ground. First home game for their fans. Good Derby atmosphere. Will have to be at our best to get anything from it & hope we aren’t over confident. If Moore and Bradshaw finally find form I’ll say 2-2. Otherwise think bradford will edge it with a late goal 2-1. Made some good signings - Doyle, Akpan, scannell and in particularl Jack payne. Hope they havent clicked yet as individually there are some very good players at this level.
I will be happy with a draw. But sticking my neck out and going Bradford 1 - 2 Reds. Moore or Bradshaw or both off the mark tomorrow. Agree with Farnham, can't see 2 clean sheets in a row.
If he sets us up to play high press and attack as much as at home, I can see us doing better away as teams will have a go at us and more space to break into and be exploited. 3-1 win.
I cant see us playing any other way after the opening day success. Really hope its a positive performance and result for all the fans travelling. It is going to be a cracking atmosphere.
Im certainly not worried, if we lose we lose, its as simple as that. I thought relegation would feel a lot worse than this, but Im more relaxed about it now and Im hoping we're going to be up there where it matters at the end of the season.
Not encouraged by tomorrow's allotted merry whistle blower. Tim Robinson is a notorious red card waver - did Wigan v Washday last week and sent Nuhiu off (so can't be all bad!). We've had him six times in the last two seasons - five defeats (Sheff U a, Tottenham h, Derby h and Burton h (urgh!) last season and Brighton away 2016/17) and one draw (Hudds h 2016/17 - when Whitehead got off with murder, literally!) Given a fair wind however I'd be happy with a point.
Bradford weren't dominant in there win last week and I believe the game could have gone either way, they have a new young manager and lots of new players still gelling. This is our time and season, we will be too strong 0 -3 to the super reds.
