I hope we don't sign up for any that contain clauses with minimum game time for the loanee. We could benefit from the loan system in certain positions. But perhaps now we have the financial clout to resist loan terms that might tie the hands of the coach. Anyway, the contracted players so far seem up to the job.....early days though.
We could do with a Marley Watkins figure: someone who can play both wide midfield and in attack. If we get such a player, we will have depth in every position. You are right to not want a 'must play' clause, though. They only suit the parent club.
apparently there are many players out of contract and without a club... I would look at some of them before looking at loans
Mmm.. but then you're committing to having them for a fixed term contract. So if they're crap you're stuck with them. And these are players that are either of no interest to other clubs, or they (or their agent) have a higher impression of their own worth than any football club has yet agreed upon. Loans are cheaper. Fitness becomes an issue too, for those without clubs.
maybe his wage demands or contract demands do not sit well with the club.... maybe if we met somewhere in the middle and offered to help him with his coaching badges too, that could be a way forward... we have Sir Bobby and Disco who seem to be doing well for us on the coaching team, both were well loved by the fans and they both loved and served the club well... I reckon Adam could do exactly the same too.
I suppose that philosophy would easily change with August injuries. Although it may well fit in with a "plan" that decreed we must develop our own players. Not those of others. With a set up that ought to be capable of so doing, if we get the right ones.
