Sky Sports and especially Jim dont half know how to big up minor news. ‘Big news coming out of Everton. Richarlason available for Sat after recovering from Cramp’ Any others?
The most annoying part of the coverage for me is when they read tweets out. Stood there reading from a tablet with the boring, clichéd, say-nothing tweets appearing behind on a screen. Who cares? Apart from young fans who idolise the stars, who really cares? I get some people are engrossed by football and love all the drama and stories from the 'EPL'... but I find SSN insufferable nowadays. It's as if they think everyone is sat at home all day desperately waiting for a bit of news or quote from one of the stars of the Premier League. Deadline Day is a joke too, treating every ordinary transfer like it's the deal of the century. I guess I'm not the target audience for 24 hour rolling football news and that's fine. But I do think that the money and media-driven football bubble has gone past saturation point.
Tend to agree. It anoys me that given its a 24 hr sports news channel all they really do is go totally over the top on features and news associated with what sky will televise and ignore any other sports news if the aports is not on their playlist. It was breaking news and they had special feature on themselves winning the last premier TV rights. Self indulgent is an understatement.
The guy that annoys me the most is that Kaveh Solhekol. He talks through gritted teeth for some strange reason.
Is Rob Wotton still on? Hes a grubby git. Anything not to do with the Premier and he patronises us with that smug little face. Havent watched it in years as i used to feel my IQ slipping minute by minute
If you listen carefully to Julian Waters when he speaks you can here him smacking his lips and once you lock in to it, you cant miss it and it seems more amplified. Will annoy you even more from that point for evermore.
It was a really novel idea and also quite entertaining when the channel first launched(It was called "SkySports.com if I remember right, can even still remember the jingle they used to play), but as already mentioned, it's descended into a 24-hour infomercial for their sports output...
Can you imagine doing it for a job, repeating the same news every half an hour or so, over and over again?! Would be soul destroying.
Absolutely can't stand this guy. He used to be much worse than he is now though. When he first started, ABSOluuuuuuutely EVERYthiiiiiing was EMPHAsiiiiiized, now it's been toned down to something resembling normal. Someone must have had a word. Still a **** though.
They lost Natalie Sawyer and Kirsty Gallagher partialy at least because of it as they wanted to do other Sky Sports presenting and wasn't given the chances, even though between them then have around thirty years experience of working for the company.
You just miss them because it was an opportunity to have a wrestle with the bald headed champ now you’ve finally grown out of WWE.
