Not had one down but had one up when I was worried about the possibility of bowel cancer, turned out to be only piles. Quite uncomfortable but painless. It's quite strange watching the screen showing your insides. I also had one up the "old man" to remove a stent after Kidney Stone fragmentation treatment. As I was lying there the Nurse said "Oh you live on Wilmot Rd, I live there as well" Just as the doctor pulled out what looked like a 12" length of electrical wire.....
All done, not pleasant but a doddle really. Thanks to all for helpful advice, and for making me giggle
I think not pleasant is the best way to describe it. Had both, up and down, and it's just unpleasant rather than terrible or traumatic. Hope the results are good news.
Thank you, it's a small hiatus hernia, no treatment required, I just need to chew more to stop bits of lamb tikka getting stuck on the way down
A diet of lettuce, celery & cucumber, then? Glad it's nothing too serious as to require treatment, though, old mate.
Update: I've now had my treatment plan explained to me. I've got to cut down on coffee, chocolate, beer, curry, wine and tomatoes. ******!
I have had the pleasure of the rear entry twice , the worst thing being as you highlighted was the clearing out of the old bowels . I had to take some stuff called pickolax , never known anything like it , started going on Sunday lunch & was still paying visits the next morning whist waiting for the camera , never been as sore in my life but the wife had the camera down & with the help of a local anesthetic she was fine , so hopefully everything will go well for Stahlrost .
