Great goal by Moncur. Brilliant technique, straight from the text book, keeping his head over the ball, not leaning back. Not my favourite player but credit where it's due.

I think if we'd played Davies we would have won 1-0.

Walton defiantly should of dealt with the 1st and the 3rd goal.

The Quest highlights (shown last night) show the incident leading up to the third goal, and Jack doesn't come out of it well. He makes a routine catch and tries to run the out to the edge of the area and then underarm release to one of ours. He has Blackpool players around him and it is not clear if he was impeded but he somehow ends up outside the area still with the ball in his hands. Naivety more than anything I think.

Then, when the free kick comes in it's a good strike but poor positioning of the wall. Not good all round.

He's a young lad and I think it takes time for a keeper to develop. No doubt on another day, he may well have saved all 3 efforts on his goal and we progress with a 1-0 win despite being under a bit of pressure second half.

Good learning experience for him though. I recall Watsons debut at Derby and what a mare he had once Derby realised they only had to cross it to have him flapping. He always had a tendency to do it now and then (Wolves away in a 3-3 and West ham at home in the debut prem game notably), but it was an area he worked on so much and improved greatly.
