Bit sluggish at times and the ball is not sticking when played to feet. Ref is....well, poor I suppose but we can overcome that.

Wimbledon are a very poor side today and if we get an early goal second half we can go on to get 3 or 4 again

It's the final ball letting us down on a few occasions, but Wimbledon are packing the defence so hard to break down. Getting bodies behind the ball and defensively they have been pretty sound yet we have still had a couple of good chances. Just need to be patient

Weve had more attacks. Trouble is theyve all been damp squibs. Theyve only had one good shot. If Mowatt had better accuracy he'd be on the scoresheet

Proud of them. Frustrating but when was the last time we had 3 clean sheets in a row?
Wimbledon werent ever going to concede. Think theyll do well this season

Wake up call. Should be beating teams like Wimbledon. Tried to play long ball against the team known for it. One week ago everything was rosy now we are out the cup because half the team need resting a week into the season and because of it momentum was lost and it couldn't be regained today.

Could predict going in that they'd make it hard for us to score. Just us and them who haven't conceded and you can see why. We had a lot of hopeful shots and crosses which didn't hit the mark but its never easy to play against a team who are playing for a draw. Then again we will play teams varying in ability and strategy and we need to be able to adapt to get the best possible result. Just hope next game, we can reignite some of that positivity that we felt in the first few games.

Definitely- think we were lucky not to concede one. How can we boss a game so much; have umpteen chances and still make the opposition look credible? Far too casual, no fluency and little appetite.

Spot on, hope the players didn't think it was a gimme beforehand. We're going to come up against similar teams this season who are very well organised, perhaps a bit of a reality check but another clean sheet is a positive, need to get that fluency back.

I agree that our urgency wasn’t quite at the same level as against oxford. But I wouldn’t necessarily agree that Wimbledon were poor. They came to defend and did that successfully. I would say that Davies was the busier of the two keepers too.

It seems our tactics are pretty simple . Get it out wide and cross it for the big man , unfortunately the big man isn't always in the box . No plan B .

Wimbledon were well organised, stuck to their game plan and deserved a point .

Sometimes a dose of reality is just what we need.

It’s been a good start to the campaign. 7 points from 9 and no goals conceded. Would have taken that before we kicked a ball.

However the last 2 results will highlight areas we can improve on & I hope the board back Stendel with the tools he needs to take us straight back up.

My take on it....player for player we were far superior...we just lacked a bit of urgency today.
We are going to have to get used to teams coming to oakwell and playing like our opposition today...I think they know we are good.
I thought our front 2 got poor service today....and both bradders and moore will play better....I'm not concerned at all...this will be a very good season.
We have an absolute gem of a player in our Aussie dynamo...and cavare is class...I could go on.
We lacked good width today to really stretch them ...overall 7 points out of 9...and no goals conceded...I'm well happy.

The original poster is very condescending towards Wimbledon, they thoroughly deserved a point today.

I wasn't being condescending at all. I was only commenting on their footballing ability and, in that, they looked a poor side. Unfortunately they made us look poor as well for periods of the game but I still felt right to the end that we would somehow score and nick the points. At no time did I expect the Dons to do the same, even though they did get one that was offside.

We were suckered today by a physical team who got away with foul after foul because of an incredibly weak referee. It;s funny because I remarked after about ten or fifteen minutes that I "liked this referee because he seemed to take a second to consider things before blowing up". Then it all went wrong and some of his decisions against us were amateurish at best, incompetent at worst.

It was hard to come back down to earth like that after a dreamy couple of games but it was always going to happen. At least they didn't do a Crawley on us and leave with all three points. I take some of the blame for it. I bought the new shirt today (first time in years I have done that) and I also bought a Rochdale ticket, swayed by the brilliant start. All my fault! :(

And when he was in the box the ball ended up getting kicked into the Ponty end/north stand
