If they get some flair up front theyll go far. Reminds me of Swansea a few year ago. Great defence, crap attack - Draw specialists. Once they got a goalscorer (was it Jason Scotland?), only way was up.

Still stick to my preseason bet on them battling for Playoffs

Reminded me of the Cardiff home game last year. Horrific to watch and never crossed the halfway line but they were disciplined, impossible to break down and good at conning the ref. Only difference was they fluked a goal and Wimbledon didn't.

Yep I admit I'd rather watch attractive footy from us, but teams like Cardiff and Wimbledon are the ones that don't lose. Its taken Cardiff to the Prem afterall.

Credit their coach and staff...limited budget and all that and they frustrated the hell out of ..player 4 player...much better players.
Set up well and deserved their point

Effective yes but not good. I'd hate to watch that style of football every week.

Very effective and organised but with some attacking flair we'd have won comfortably. That in itself shows what is possible this season.

Thought Wimbledon were a poor team , and we lacked a flair player who could unlock their defence . They looked like they had come for a point and we had nobody in team who could create

Wimbledon weren't poor. ....Oxford were poor, Wimbledon will do ok this year. ....we were poor that's for sure.

Very much reminiscent of Cardiff. Also a proper welcome to League One. I’d imagine a fair few teams will come to Oakwell and play with ten men behind the ball this season, just like Wimbledon.

Two poor sides today in a game that lacked any real quality. Barnsley’s crossing and shooting was awful. The standard was miles below the Championship and was scrappy throughout. Both sides lost possession far too easily and failed to create many meaningful chances. Drab.

Just to be contrary I quite enjoyed watching two well-drilled defences defying all efforts to get through them.

Wouldnt like to watch it every week mind

Agree, they looked poor in 1st half, but we did unlock their defence I think 3 tmes but didn't finish. 2nd half we seemed all over the place with no constructive ideas.
    But, many games to go...

Wimbledon hard working, well motivated, but incredibly limited footballing wise and constantly spilled possession. If only we were good enough on the day to do anything with it. Agree with the Cardiff comparisons already made. Just one of those days.

Think we gonna have to win ugly at times this season if we want to stay at the top end of the league because more teams will come to oakwell and kinda park the bus lm afraid. A striker on loan with pace would help our cause.

As the game wore on a scruffy 1-0 win would have been a great way to end the afternoon. We would have all been on our feet applauding at the end, just like the Oxford match. Unfortunately we couldn't string two passes together for most of the game and neither could we get meaningful shots on target.

It wasn't a boring 0-0 draw, but it certainly wasn't an entertaining one either.
