Three clean sheets on the bounce for Adam Davis , a big well done . I am not sure who was the last reds keeper to do this, but it must be a fair while ago , hopefully he can take confidence from this & his good start to the season continues .
Hope he gets back to bis best. Not really been tested yet so I'm not going to subscribe to the notion that he's proving the doubters wrong just yet. However, his confidence must be growing with every clean sheet. Think the entire defence deserve credit for this.
Not really sure how he's proved anything. Not had a proper save to make yet and got EXTREMELY lucky two or three times in the opening game when he fumbled the ball and got away with it.
He hasn't been tested yet. Nonetheless well done to him and the whole team though, to start the league season with 3 consecutive clean sheets is a real positive but I'll reserve full judgement until we've faced some of the better teams in the division.
He was playing last season like a none league player in some games and supporters had every right to doubt him. I would say the jury's still out.
People desperate to criticise someone thinking that keeping 3 clean sheets isn’t good enough. Anyone who watched Walton on Tuesday will know how important Adam is to us.
He's had three easy games so far. It's hardly a cause to declare that he is the saviour and has proved everybody wrong.
I would suggest its more that people are not willing to jump to conclusions after 3 games, particularly considering his terrible performances last season. He's not done much wrong and he appears to be growing in confidence. However, to make grand statements suggesting he is proving doubters wrong after 3 clean sheets, which are also partially down to poor opposition and good defending, is a bit of an exaggeration.
Not desperate to criticise him myself. Want him to do well and I think he has some potential. How good Walton may or not be has no impact on my judgement of Davies. He has kept 3 clean sheets that's obviously a good thing for him, the defence and the team as a whole. I do however finding it disappointing that his kicking is just as awful as the day he joined the club.
Exactly. Confidence spreads and he is making things look routine again, which is the sign of a good keeper. His issues last year weren’t with making spectacular saves - he was still pulling them off. It was the concentration and the basics that went, which got progressively worse through losing confidence as well. 3 clean sheets is a great start. Too early to say he’s back to his best form, but if he does he’s a top League 1 keeper.
It's worth looking at Thiam's second goal against Oxford And comparing it to the save Davies made yesterday http://www.skysports.com/watch/vide...eague-one/11476042/barnsley-0-0-afc-wimbledon The Wimbledon striker hits it far sweeter than Thiam, plus it's bouncing wickedly. Despite losing 4-0 many people claimed the Oxford keeper had a much better game than Davies. Then said Davies had nothing to do yesterday.
He didn't do anything yesterday hat you wouldn't expect every professional goalkeeper in the country to do
