There is a definite lack of understanding between the two, Moore was getting quite frustrated with Bradders not being around his ‘head ons’ and touches, quite often Bradshaw was playing far too deep, hard working yes, but Moore needs a close partner to excel.

Yesterday lack of pace and out muscled by a pretty physical team

We have a guy at long last who can do flick ons, so we lessen his chances of doing that by making Davies throw it wide for it to go darn the channels for a cross into Moore, when a kick from the keeper can gain the same result and more certainly will be the outcome rather than the woeful crosses that have been supplied. We let their defence off by them not constantly having to challenge Moore in the air.

The lack of decent crosses cost us yesterday shocking service to the front 2

I remember when it was thought we'd have the best pair of wingers in League One. Messrs Treacy and Jennings thought they said bingers and pigged out on booze and burgers.

We need a striker - there's no way we can get through a 50+ game season with Moore, Bradshaw and a (promising) rookie. Someone with pace and an ability to get in behind defences is the obvious shortfall in the current squad and one we need to address to deal with teams like Wimbledon who more or less can match up to us physically.

The second need is a winger who can get round the full back and put a decent cross in - that would increase Moore and Bradshaw's effectiveness no end.

We may still thrive without the above but I think it would verge on the negligent to fall short of promotion for want of a couple of players.

Thirdly, all the full backs, wide players and Mowatt need extra crossing practice!!!

It's not going to change. We play Thiam on the left, who I think is capable of of getting in decent crosses, but not with his left foot. His natural tendency is to cut inside onto his right and that was the reason we beat Oxford. But if he gets another 5 goals like that all season he'll have done remarkably well. It's very difficult to score goals like that.

On the right we play Potts. I know why people like him: he's big and strong and when he carries the ball out of defence with drive and power he looks brilliant. As he did for his goal against Oxford. But his crossing is awful. He puts 75% of his crosses into the stand behind the goals. My argument is undermined here because we scored from one of his crosses against Oxford, but look at his performance yesterday, and his performance against Bradford, and just about every time he was played on the wing last season.

We've got two forwards who score 90% of their goals from crosses. We've got two wingers who are perpetually injured. We're playing two players on the wings who, although they have something to offer, it's not putting balls into the box from out wide in the positions they're playing. We've hamstrung ourselves.

We beat Oxford and Bradford quite easily. And so did 3 out of the other 4 teams who have played them. Blackpool haven't won a game in the league, but they stuffed us.

1 goal between them in the first 3 games is pretty underwhelming.

Plenty of time for them to find a bit of form, but they need the service as they're not going to create something out of nothing.

We don’t seem to be playing to their strengths TBF.
The crossing was terrible yesterday and we didn’t play that many against oxford or Bradford.
I think their overall play had played a vital role in achieving what we have so far imo as Moore keeps their centre half’s occupied and Bradshaw running is vital to our pressing game .
Hopefully as our wingers get more into games and provide more quality crosses I think the rewards will come

If I were replacing one it wouldn’t be Bradshaw Moore’s first touch is a shot and his shot is a first touch. I was hoping for more but he needs to improve and very quickly.

Bradshaws first touch isn't any better to be fair.

No but you don’t want him involved in link up play you want him lurking in the box to nick a goal. Moore has frustrated me this season he looks worse against L1 defenders than he did against Championship ones. We need to get some wingers who can actually cross a ball if we are to get anything out of him.

Good strikers can create their own chances though, instead of fully relying on others. Can't remember last time either got the ball, showed some skill taking on some players and put it in the net.

You can't remember because it's never happened.

That doesn't mean they're no good. We just have to play to their strengths, which we're not doing. We need wingers who can cross the ball well if we're going to get the best out of what we've got. We had one on our books, who was the catalyst of our last promotion. But Ganaye said he was too old to fit into our recruitment policy. I've read some stupid things in my life, but that beats all. It's moronic.

Early doors for me but I'm struggling to see either scoring a load of goals based on the 4 games I've seen, but that's not because either isn't technically good.

It's more because we telegraph what we're doing and take so much time doing it. It's either aim for Moore, or work the ball slowly wide and put crosses into a crowded area.

I'm hoping on tuesday Rochdale are more attack minded and leave a few spaces for us to exploit.

Moore has a bit of pace to be fair to him, but when your lumping high balls to him with defenders hanging around his neck, he's not going to show it.
