Everything too lackadaisical. From players trotting off the pitch with time ticking down to all the sit darners. No one seemed to care, pathetic.

He's obsessed with people that choose to sit down at matches.

    It's quite pathetic, really.

    Yawn.
Says nothing for those of us small in height when the selfish few stand in seated areas !

I'm 6 foot four. I even feel guilty sitting down in front of the people behind me!
Standing up in a seated stand is just pure discourtesy to those around you. It equates to "I want to get the best view I can and F**k you".

Football has become more of a family game and I can't think anybody wants a return to the loutish culture which standing at football matches encourages.

Quite ironic that you're moaning that nobody cared when you couldn't give a toss about those behind you in the ground.

I took a friend's eleven year old to the Cork City game the other week. Sitting down he was at least able to peer between the shoulders of the blokes sitting in front of us. With everyone standing he'd have had no chance.
With the old terracing kids could go to the front or find a spot where there weren't so many people. With allocated seating they can't.

No, but I'd quite like a return to the atmosphere that standing generates.

No offence but IMHO that's a myth. Entertaining attacking football is what ratchets up the crowd level, which in turn gives a boost back to the team. It's nowt to do with whether we're stood up or sat down. I remember standing in many a morgue-like stadium back in the day, even ones that were jam-packed.

I sometimes sit with a friend at away games who has serious health problems so she can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. Why should she pay £25 to look at someone's arse for almost the entire game? She usually moves around to try to find an empty seat with no obstructions, but due to our fantastic support that's getting more and more difficult. Scunny, for example, is sold out. She's not going because she knew she probably wouldn't be able to see.

Chuck the pillocks out and ban them, if they can't sit down. With the rules as they are, I can't think of a more constructive suggestion.

Sorry but I cant do with being told to sit down by a stranger, especially at away games. Fair enough at home but for away games its pretty simple, If you wanna sit then sit near the front, if you wanna stand, then stand up at the back. Everyone wins.

That's the problem right there. People who have no respect for the stadium rules, the law or the rights of other people.

The lass in question was at Forest for that disaster of a game at the end of last season. We sat 2 rows back. We couldn't see because of a crowd of people in front of us. I asked them a number of times to sit down or move. I was threatened with physical violence and pushed away. We asked the stewards, who said they couldn't do anything.

I wish there was a way to allow some to stand and some to sit, but there isn't. To be fair to you I don't agree with the rules, but it's simply not true that if you sit at the front you get an uninterrupted view.

If you want to stand up all game just get a seat in the bottom right of the ponty that's the norm if not sit anywhere else in the ground.

Not saying it is true but that's how it should be in my opinion. You shouldn't stand up if you are near the front. Its difficult in this league as we are selling out most of the small away ends. Cant see a problem with standing at the back really.
