You snooze, you lose (or draw).

I expect off days skills wise but the starting mentality today was perhaps a little complacent. This squad must be careful not to believe all the hype it's getting and never believe it's going to win just by turning up.

The occasional draw or defeat, which will come, will hopefully serve as a kick up the backside

The lesson learnt at Scunny is this. ............ if we can’t beat Scunny then the squad is short of players and we need reinforcements.
    End of.

Man city couldn't beat Wolves but I can't imagine they're going to go out and splash the cash on one result on top of that history tells us that usually when I team sack a manager there's normally a vast improvement in their very next game, I prefer hone in on the fact that we showed our metal by coming back from 2-0 down rather than not been able to beat Scunny

I think lessons learned is, we have a manager who actually has a plan b (plus) , he won’t stand by and just accept defeat, he can motivate and the players respond to him.
He is also still learning about his squad , English football and has added and is looking to add to our squad so must have seen some limitations.
All very positive as far as I can see.

Yeah yesterday for two thirds of the match, wasn't what we are used to. It was slow paced, no urgency and a lot like the Wimbledon match with constantly trying to get the ball out wide for aimless nothing balls in to the box. When we started to try more down the middle, on the floor, we looked better.

Try and look at the positives instead of the negatives

We came back from two goals down to draw. Can’t remember the last time we did that

The manager changed things with a plan b and it came off

You won’t always come up against the same opposition, week in week out like a Rochdale who try and play football, we will beat teams like that.

When they play counter attacking football against our higher pressing game then they’ll be much harder to beat

    On to Gillingham

Main lesson learned yesterday, don’t park in their car park. Coaches must’ve been half way home by the time we got out of there

Wow that is some time, shows what a fantastic achievement yesterday's comeback was. So many positives out of that 2nd half I came happy which I didn't expect at 2 down.

So what you are saying here is that we are too one dimensional.
    Which I agree with.
We need the ability to change.
To do that we need players that can alter games.

I think we are missing a certain amount of guile in the squad and also a very fast striker.
In saying that we have a couple of players out and a couple of younger players that MAY have those qualities.

I’m sure Stendel and the back room staff have identified the weaknesses.
We will see what happens this week.

He said manager changed things with a plan B, is that not an ability to change then?

We have players that can alter games, we have the ability to change. Anyone who went yesterday will have seen that. Despite conceding from a set play we looked like a different team in the 2nd half.

Fvck me. 2-0 comeback was looking forward to its testimonial at the end of the season then.

In all seriousness though, great comeback and definitely positives to take.

When alls said and done, it's a point away from home. Doesn't matter if we lost the lead or came from behind. It's a 'D" in the stats columns.

Win at home, draw away is the way to promotion, and going by that we would be on 9 points. We're currently on 11.

Won't start getting interesting until the top teams start taking points off one another.
