    They've just got Andre Green in on loan from Villa. Hence why many portsmouth journos appear to think the deal to cov is on. Edit: They've also recalled a striker as well.

    Based on what?

    As others have said, they will no doubt be able to offer him a lot more minutes than us currently and judging on the fact he wants to leave Portsmouth, I’d say he wants game time.

    We were after him but they are both (cov and chaplin) each other's first choice.
    Chaplin knows some people up there.... nowt really to do with us not being able to out do the Midlands outfit.

    Who says we are? Who says we still want him after his unprofessional tantrum last weekend? Maybe they are guaranteeing him more game time? Maybe Coventry think he's worth however much he's asking for? Could be they are offering him a longer contract? Maybe we have better options in the pipeline waiting to be brought in? Maybe he wants to stay nearer the south?

    It's not about us being less attractive.

    If we were that dead set on Chaplin to the extent that he was a priority even with Bradshaw still in the fold then I struggle to understand why we didn’t we go out and secure him following Bradshaw’s exit as opposed to going out and instantly signing Woodrow for what will amount to a substantial fee.

    The only people that I’ve seen link Chaplin with the club are a couple of Reds fans who pretend to be ITK agent types on Twitter.

    Bähre on the other hand has been confirmed by the top brass at Hannover 96. Presumably he has been identified by DS himself unless it’s just a bizarre coincidence that the recruitment team have been tracking him. That being said, I wouldn’t put it past them having tracked Kenneth for 12 months prior to his acquisition.

    I agree with most of that. However, Giddings has linked us with Chaplin and he is usually very reliable. Saying that, it was a month ago so wouldnt be surprised to see our targets change.

    Giddings has just said he's highly likely to go to Coventry. Unsure re the lad from hannover. That sounds more likely
