    Am I correct in thinking that this stage of the checkatrade trophy is group stage like the group stages in the Euro's or the World cup.... if so then why was the commentator banging on about it going to penalty's.... have I missed something somewhere.

    I think the penalties thing is a good idea. It adds a bit of excitement.

    Got to be better than two lower league teams playing out a draw in front of a smattering of fans.
