I would happy for you to see the match for a tenner as you clearly come into the ‘exile’ category. My real concern is over the whole range of efl clubs gates would go down and the financial gap between us and the premiership would become even greater
But then you have to consider those who wouldn't part with £26, but may be happy to pay £10. That's bonus income.
Doubt the club would see all of that £10 quid. I know what you are getting at but I think the negative out weighs the positive. Would certainly pull away followings down too.
I can't see it having much of an impact on away followings if I'm honest. The people who travel up and down the country going to away matches do it for the experience as a whole rather than just to watch the game. Perhaps some Tuesday nights at Southend might get skipped, and again, that's offset by people who otherwise wouldn't spend buying the game.
I’ve read somewhere that the club gets £8 out of the £10 subscription. So if one person chooses to stay away from the game to watch it on ifollow then that is net loss of £18 to the club If two new people watch the game on ifollow it still doesn’t quite make up the revenue lost by the the first guy staying away. That doesn’t even take account of what he may have spent on a programme, refreshments etc.
Add in if people are from the same family so only pay the one £10 but would have bought 2 or 3 tickets.
What about the ( considerable) amount of fans who can’t get there at all though. Can’t imagine anybody who could get there being happy with ifollow instead
But then you consider those willing to pay 26 but decide a tenner is good. When a family of four can pay around 100 quid to watch a home game pay on the day, they can't be blamed paying a tenner to all watch on the same screen at home. I don't think our home games should be screened live online, but if they can upload the full match for say two hours after full time, that's fair enough.
So is this confirmed - Will I be able to watch the Walsall match without "going on holiday"? Just don't want to pay a tenner to find that it's blocked.
Read a story on BBC saying all EFL games were available this Saturday due to international break so confident they are. Now as for Ifollow streaming it successfully I wouldn't want to speculate.
Just had my first experience of ifollow live. Can I take it that any time it rains the picture becomes virtually unwatchable? It was like it was being played in a pea souper second half.
use firefox to get it . When it asks for your country do not put a uk one . Put Holland..... works for me
what browser are you using .... I had trouble and contacted them they told me to use Firefox had no troubles since... They said another but cannot remember. But they did say it will not work on explorer or Opera. Also do not put your country as any in the UK...use Holland it works for me.
