He’s dropped down the pecking order for me today after that game. Bahre when he moved into the middle looked 10 times the option Mcgeehan was giving us in the first half.

Mcgeehan in the first half was slow, so very slow. He always looked for the safe ball near enough and he couldn’t even get those done half the time. He’d go missing and hide behind one of their players so he couldn’t get the ball which is criminal for me. Glad he was hooked off at half time.

I’m not ready to write him off yet but for a CM spot he’s got 5 players in front of him now, be lucky to get on the bench next week.

No need to slag him off, he's not a holding midfielder but did ok today, he didn't hide and tried to get on the ball he just needs more time and is a useful member of the squad.

I thought the midfield in the first half was congested & there was no space for either side, in the second half the game opened up & space appeared & to be honest I thought McGeehan was half decent & I find the stick he is getting on here tonight is over the top .

Bird should've started. Fair play to Stendel for making the change early 2nd half. McGeehan was very poor again today.

Not writing him off at all, but I've seen nothing that places him ahead of you guys Jared Bird.

And he's had half a season in championship and half a season at league one.

I hope he gets better and does a Hourihane/Mowatt etc but I don't think it's unfair to place one player ahead of any other in a game that is dictated by results and where we need to be picking up points.

I think he’s trying to be fair to the lad, but you can only go on what you see, which is pretty mediocre I’m afraid.

He must be close to his last chance by now. Totally ineffective.

I disagree, the German lad was much more dynamic and and broke the lines loads of times creating space. McGeehan was way too static, but in his favour that may have been the formation in the first half to blame because he was the holding CM. But in that role I still think he was lacking.

He'll hopefully come good again. He's missed a critical period of development through a terrible injury and will take time to get back to the player he was. Thats probably why we got him rather than bigger clubs he was once linked with. He looks very low on confidence and that is showing in cautious, slow play. Really think he will come good but perhaps Bird has earnt a chance next time.

Thought he was a goal scoring attacking midfielder , played very deep today and had a poor game

Thought the German lad was not involved in the first half but impressed during the second , with McGeehan , he did his job with the only opportunity Walsall had in the first half was the header which Walton tipped over & that was from a cross, whilst in the second half I thought that Walsall"s equaliser came from the fact that no one was doing the holding midfielder role & the space opened up for them , its all about opinions .

I thought Bahre had a good game but theres clearly a lot more to come. There were a few instances of miscommunication with teammates and once that gets sorted out we have a player.

He didn’t play well that game. He popped up unmarked with a headed goal but certainly didn’t play well

All of the above aside, he came to us as a number 10 and I would like to see him play that role. Theres goals in him and he played a couple of good balls today.

But, for me, Bird deserves the chance to impress next.

I feel for the lad. Terrible injury and no run of games but I have to say i’ve seen nothing from him in his time here. He saw a lot of the ball in the first half but he didn’t do too much with it. Interesting that his natural inclination when he gets the ball is to go backwards. That’s not helpful. Hope he comes good but that is more hope than expectation.

Dougall said in an interview this week in his position he’s encouraged to retrieve the ball and pass it off to another midfielder to go make the runs or the passes. I’m hoping that’s what Mcgeehan was instructed to do today because apart from a sideways knock and a ball played through that never made it, he always picked the safe sideways/backwards option.

The lad just looks completely void of confidence and match fitness at the minute and with us haveing so many players going for his actual position I can’t see him benefiting from being here in the short term.

Difficult to judge when you play an attacking midfielder as a defensive one. I thought he was poor to ok.
