Owner not happy as he was ready to pay it back with interest.... https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2018/september/a-note-from-the-chairman4/
Or so he says, might just be trying to save face. There’s been ex-players having to bug the club to get money they’re owed so when I read about that it set alarm bells ringing (Karl Henry I believe it was) Just makes me more thankful our club is being run properly and more sustainably.
Fans aren't believing him and some want him to die..... They aren't in Admin yet. Got until 10 am so it is probably just a threat before a deal is made at the last possible moment to avoid a 12 points deduction...... https://lionofviennasuite.sbnation....ck-in-financial-dire-straits-here-we-go-again Quite funny that they play QPR at the weekend when they are just as bad.
12 points according to the BBC. Didn't we get relegated just below Notlob last year? Still I suppose had we stayed up Jose Morais may well still be our manager ........ sorry Head Coach.
It would be too much to hope that they, QPR and Birmingham get relegated whilst we go up. Only problem is that Millwall couldn’t go down as well
We ended up below Burton as well, so it then would've been their place to stay up. That final match-day was insane with the relegated teams changing multiple times.
Huh, you're right! My memory must be worse than I remember... It did shuffle around a lot during that last game though!
More shenannigans.......deadline shifted from 10am to noon. An offer to BluMarble has been accepted, Bolton have 2 hrs to put move some dodgy cash about. Farce.
Can I ask why? Always thought Bolton were similar to us with great fans. Similar sized working class town with a loyal following. Had some great games with them over the years. It's not that long ago we were in admin and it almost happened again under Ridsdale. Not the fans fault so don't know why you'd hate a club like that.
If its true ……………...and they are in admin. Then I am glad, not because I dislike Bolton (in fact I quite like them) but because "they" and a few other clubs have been flouting the rules for too long. There has to be a proper deterrent .................and points deduction is the only answer, as they will just continue to "cook the books" again and again in order to dance around the FA and their ineptitude way of dealing with these matters. Loads of clubs have done it (QPR etc etc)……...give em a 15 point deduction and banned from transfers for 2 years and a fine. That then sets out proper regulation...oh and the "yeah but that was the last administration, we are a new company etc"...…...nope if you are trading as the club, you are the same.
Because they've had half a billion pounds put into them during their spell in the top division, and £150million+ of debt written off, and still can't pay their bills. Because they and Birmingham cheated their way to survival at our expense last season. And because I met a Bolton fan on the train last season who was a right lovely person. I hope he suffers. The vvanker.
Baffles me how there were reports of them struggling to pay players’ wages during the summer, then they managed to sign players like Wildschut, who won’t be on peanuts. Frustrating for teams like ourselves who try to abide the rules, mainly.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2009/nov/06/premier-league-two-division-gartside Ancient history now, but Gartside wanted to "close" the top two divisions - effectively stopping "teams like Barnsley" from ever getting promoted. Not really an issue with Bolton or any of their fans, just a problem with some of the shadier aspects of football that were, and are, still closely linked with BWFC.
