been trying to find tinned sloppy peas...not mushy peas. I like mine sloppy a bit more watery than the average tinned mushy peas which have the consistency of mashed potatoes. Anybody know a brand that fits the bill. When you go in a chippy in the tarn area the peas are poured over the chips with a ladle and run in among the chips etc....that's the way I like them.... not scooped over with a plasterers trowel almost..... any ideas guys. We got some a good while ago but our lass forgot to note the brand and the shop she got them from.... well she is a pagan Welsh cave dweller....bless

I could well be wrong here but marrowfat peas might be the ones you’re after. I think they have the consistency you’re after

Where’s George Spicer when you need him

Aldi....stir a little water in to sloppyfy them, about 1cm in the bottom of the can gets em nice and sloppy without diluting the flavour. (we also add a little sugar to sweeten em)

I reckon if you buy these batchelor ones and add a little water it will do the trick

There used to be a green soda tablet thing and you soaked ‘em overnight then boiled them up. Can you still get packets of dried peas like that?

Marrowfat peas, but boil them for 10 minutes or so adding more water if they are looking a bit thick.

That's what I go for. I like to add a bit of mint sauce & vinegar too, but I'm not totally right in my head...
