You can always tell a team who are not fully conversant with one another
Play crab system....... Across and back
The number of times they break down in attack with a player finishing up kicking it back to goalkeeper through lack of ideas
Our beloved son Stones.... He is getting worse and has become a liability. Had this sort of spell before and was dropped by City. He has to give it a tap or bit of adrible instead of getting it away?
Plenty of passing but not effective
Poor team SUI. Any other team would have been in front on this showing

Not watching, and not particularly interested in England, but is Stones playing really badly? Worse than everyone else?

He is not playing really worse than anyone else although Rashford is way the best player and Rose
Stonesy has always got to have a tap forward or try to have a little dribble and gets caught out
Commentators saying he will always give the odd goal away with it
Only good part is Alex Scott. She is a cute cookie

Made a couple of vital blocks one especially on Shaqiri. Couple of silly errors also. Kane came on at the same time and hardly got a touch or a mention. Looked a yard off the pace. No one will get on his back though for being an idle git

Not defending Stone’s here but why is it only his lapses that seem to be highlighted more than anyone else’s? Maguire almost caught out in first half, quick mention then forgotten.

Was at the game- not bad at all. We played pretty well and they defended brilliantly.

My one big criticism is the ENGLAND BAND. Bloody terrible

Aye Kane looked like he was saving himself for the weekend whilst Rashford was still sprinting around .
    Waste of a sub .

Been great so far this season Stones, City only dropped points when he didn’t play & he was straight back in the side the next game.

He was in my opinion comfortably the best defender in the league for the first 3 months of last season before he got injured as well.

Stones and Kane are often quoted as our two best players but watching them stand still when Spain scored their second goal last weekend was embarrassing. Of the two I'd say Kane has lost more of his effectiveness. Stones needs to wake up a bit as well though.

I had a ticket for last night, but couldn't be arsed to go. I didn't even watch it on telly and didn't know the score until today.

I went to the Costa Rica friendly and loved watching the world cup, but I'm back to my default setting again.

That’s pretty much how I feel. During the World Cup it felt like everyone was watching the games and it meant something. There was a sort of feel good factor around the country because of it. Now, as you say, it’s kind of gone back to how it was before when nobody cared.

That's down to people then, not the team.

There’s plenty of factors in it. Sky now being one. The fact that England games are on Sky is something I didn’t think I’d see but I guess I was wrong. Also, the type of game. A friendly against Switzerland isn’t going to have the same pull as a World Cup game ever. But I do think the performance of the team doesn’t help sometimes. The World Cup seemed to go a much higher level for us for whatever reason and that attracted many fans so I think the team does have an impact.
