To all those who posted messages of support, advice and just downright concern for someone who they've never met, words cannot begin to describe how grateful and proud I am to be remotely connected to such a bunch of people. For members of the admin team to go out of their way to make contact with me too is nothing short of bloody admirable. I've been in one of the darkest places I've had in my life but with the expert help of my GP and the wonderful happy pill that is Setraline, I'm in a much better place. I'm now concentrating on the future as opposed to the past and my glass is definitely more half full now. I'm not going to bang on ceremoniously but sincerely to those who even batted an eyelid in my direction a few months ago, thank you and respect. You Reds. You bloody Reds fans.
Fantastic to hear. Good for you mate. I was thinking only a day or two ago that we hadn't heard from you and feared what that meant. I am glad you are in a better place. Onwards and upwards!
Did you used to post on here before then? Nahhh welcome back mate good great to hear your glass is filling up again
Great to hear from you Norfolk Red. Really pleased you are now feeling in a better place. Never forget, there's no shame in admitting you are unable to cope and don't want to go on. You did the right thing by discussing it with specialists who have seen it all before and know how to help you. Let's hope you are able to put a positive spin on your life going forward, are able to have access to your daughter and in the fullness of time, find someone you are happy to spend your future with, if that is what you want. Welcome home bud.
Welcome back Norfolk red. The best thing about being at rock bottom, is that when the help is there... There's only one way to go. And that's upwards, and your path seems to be heading that way. Good luck and know that your family (Barnsley FC) are here for you.
Glad to hear you're on the mend, you had us all worried for a while there. Traffic on here is already down enough, we can't afford to lose another poster can we.
Great to hear from you mate. Like many others I was very concerned, especially having lost too many people than I would wish on anyone to depression. Very well done for feeling you could come on here and discuss it, then taking the step of seeing your GP as well. Wishing you all the very best in your recovery.
