Don't watch any of it. I'm waiting with interest for the airing of Celebrity Wallpapering where a bunch of no marks from no mark tv series compete each week to hang anaglypta without overlaps or tears and are eliminated one at a time. It's the only variant of the same tiring, mindless theme left to be explored.
Is that the one where they also have to paint a wall, then the viewers get the enjoyment of watching it dry?
Different folks, different strokes but it looks like you have to conform to the majority way of thinking or your brain dead apparently.
I think they should have celebrity burgling live. It can be filmed in any member of the publics house in Alabama where you can defend your home to the ultimate end. Failing that, there should be celebrity dog **** picking up with the winner promoted into the horse version and all losers being beaten into a coma with a shitty stick. Maybe celebrity shark baiting
You could equally say that if you turn the tv on you have brain dead programming inflicted on you. Thankfully there is an off button and other stuff to do.
Disagree. There are a lot of different thing on TV and it isn't just what you consider brain dead. If I put my TV on now I can watch sport, cookery, cartoons, movies, documentaries about eco systems, history, law, crime, I can watch dramas or I can watch light entertainment (sorry, brain dead TV). Nothing is inflicted in me, its a choice. I don't see why people have to consider themselves superior to others based on what they enjoy or don't enjoy. It's the same with music, if you like certain bands, groups or singers a lot of people will look down on you or insult you. Why? If we were all the same wouldn't life be boring? Rather than just saying somebody is brain dead for watching light entertainment perhaps it could be because they have a stressful job where they are constantly thinking so watching something light hearted that you don't need to think about and analyse is just what they need? Somebody who's elderly parent is living with dementia and the son or daughter is having to look after them all day might just want to switch off a bit and instead of spending an hour watching somebody investigate a murder they may just enjoy watching somebody dancing and enjoying themselves on strictly instead. That doesn't make then brain dead to me. I watch a mixture of dramas, documentarys, soaps, movies (most genres) and light entertainment including a bit of reality TV sometimes. I don't see how that makes me brain dead at all, I don't always want to be watching or engaging in depressing dull dark issues, I don't want to constantly think about the dying planet, terrorism or murder and crime. Occasionally, and I know this may disgust some people, I want to have a bit of an escape from the real world and watch a group of people in a jungle capping themselves because there's a giant snake next to them. This post isn't really aimed at you churtonred it's a bit more general than that but it really annoys me when what can only be described as snobs look down on other people because of what they find enjoyable.
Sorry ST but I find the vast majority of tv absolute mind numbing pap. Call me a snob if you like but it would be nice to see a little more dumbing up on tv than dumbing down.
