The amount of chances we are missing. It's all good and well having the most shots in the division but it's not much use when you can't hit a barn door.

The Liverpool fans were probably thinking something similar when we knocked them out of the cup! Days like this can happen to anyone. Just need to put it behind us and move on, assuming we don't grab something on the next couple of minutes.

Our wastefulness in front of goal is definitely our Achilles Heel and will cost us any chance of automatic promotion unless it is dealt with very soon.

Definitely needs to be nipped in the bud, I agree. But it's not been a problem for the whole season, so I'm backing us to start rattling the goals in again very soon.

Something like 1 in every 3 shots on target today. We were a striker light even before we lost Bradshaw and then haven't yet seen his replace.

I wouldn't say embarrassing but it's definitely becoming a concern that could derail our season if it isn't sorted out.

Embarrassing is a bit strong but it is a concern.

I think it’s clear to see that our form has reduced significantly since the Bradshaw sale. He certainly wasn’t universally popular I know, but surely nobody can argue that we were better with him in the side than without him.

We don’t have the same energy, his relentlessness was key to how Stendel plays. He’s persevered as long as he could with Moncur, victor didn’t look ready, and brown today came woefully short as well.

Woodrow might be the answer - but it was rumoured, and denied, that he injured himself in the medical. We’ve yet to see him due to an injury which matches the rumour - but apparently happened in training afterwards...

We’ve no idea if he’ll be any good but it would be nice to have him fit and available soon as we’ve stopped looking like winning games after winning at a canter prior to that.

One defeat won’t derail the season, and we always lose at Coventry, but it is beginning to worry me that the early form has subsided. We’ve also conceded some scrappy/poor goals.

Stendel has a challenge, that’s for sure.

Definitely a problem, wouldn’t say embarrassing , we need to get the lad we got from Fulham fit and in the team ASAP.
Trouble with our front lot is too many are way too erratic, producing too many scuffed attempts or wildly blazing over.
If we are working on curing it in training, obviously needs way more work, so that at least hitting the target comes natural.Maybe we also need to put more work into the final balls too.
Sounds like their keeper made some good saves today but with our amount of chances and shots per game we should be scoring way more.

As things stand now - we are off those rails.
You could see it against Gillingham and you could see it against Walsall.

If you can’t score the other team will at some point get a chance and score.
We were dominating teams the first half of last season and couldn’t score.
I thought that had changed - it hasn’t.
    It is again - embarrassing.

I don't agree that it's embarrassing; I'm not embarrassed but I am frustrated and concerned that we are becoming so wasteful with the amount of chances that we create. The silver lining is that we are creating them so with a bit of work we have the foundations to build on.

Exactly. "Embarrassing" is way over the top.

    Frustrating? - yes definitely.
    Worrying? - of course.
Embarrassing? - give me a break.

The only thing that's embarrassing are the comments from some folk on this board.

It's an open forum that's more interesting with a bit of edge and disagreement . It's a bit dull otherwise .

Nope, people flipping out over 1 loss in 8 games obviously don't understand how football works and I can do without reading their nonsense.

I know that 3rd in the league and 1 loss in 8 is a solid start to any campaign.

Others apparently think a 1-0 loss away to Coventry is worth using words like "embarrassing".

This board is in a right state.

You stay blinkered and in denial if you want. Some see the bigger picture and the trend in performance. It's worrying that we have to get to January with this squad.
