I can see a day not too far off when we stuff some team by 5 or 6 and it could easily happen in an away game
ok...I'll accept that .....but we have a replacement and we need him in and up to speed... fast! It will take pressure off moore for a start.
Yeah they have had a go at the fans a few times lately, when we have big crowds both home and away, who have stuck with the club through bad times. The fans were here long before them, and will be around long after they are gone.
I’m glad to see there’s not a massive overreaction to our first league defeat of the season... oh wait.
Good game both sides going for it. Good saves. bad misses. One bloke said we never tried. For gods sake get a grip. Never heard such *****.
This is not a happy clapper post at all because I thought we were awful. However, a lot if it was down to poor decision making, sloppy mistakes and just not really being at the races today. With that being said, you can still see the tactical plan of Stendel, how he wants the team to play and if we stick with it we’ll have more good days than bad this season. I think some should chill out a bit and not over react. It’s a 46 game season, we’ve had a good start, you can’t win the league in September. I also think we miss Potts, he gets some stick now and again on here but when we’re playing this style of football, players with his level of energy are key. Slightly concerned about Dougall, he’s been brilliant for us so far but was sloppy today and received his 4th yellow. He’s going to pick up suspensions this year, occaisonal International duty, runs a hell of a lot so could fatigue, I think a good backup for him is an area we should look at in January as I don’t see any one ready to slot in when he’s missing. Dreamboy-We were brilliant against Bradford, Rochdale and Oxford so to suggest we’ve had one complete performance is nonsense. Also think Stendel has a point with regard to our HOME support, Oakwell’s like a morgue at times whereas the Away atmosphere is usually great. Any way longer post than I intended, in summary, 38 games to go, chill out, we’ll be reight.
Can you put up links to that? Seriously I’d love to see where the management have “had a go at the fans a few times lately”
Apart from Bradford. And Rochdale . **** me ragged. Football team lose 1st league match of season in mid September and it’s all rubbish. Have a day off.
Agree with this, at the moment the squad is completely unbalanced with 99 midfielders,1 striker, 0 wingers and a dodgy keeper..
"It's been coming" etc etc. Of course it has. We're not Manchester City as far as I know, so expecting wins week after week after week, including walking over most of the opposition, is not going to happen. I loved watching us at Rochdale and cannot remember the last time I travelled away and spent the whole match knowing we could not lose the game. It was just disappointing that we ONLY got four goals. That's the problem though. We all expect too much sometimes and when we don't get what we want it's teddies out of the cot time. I'd like to think I've seen more than my share of ups and downs, wins and losses, great players and poor ones. Over time this is inevitable. So, to be saying that the wheels have come off now, after only 8 games, is ludicrous. Hey, we might even get beaten by little Burton again next week. I'll be crushed, but it won't be a cause for total depression and unreasonable criticism. I do that during the games - get on to players (even though they can't hear me) but I would never openly abuse a player or write them off after a couple of average games. We've got the bones of a very good squad of players here. When Herr Stendel gets the chance to add to it then that will be the difference between a mere top six spot and one of the top two places. There was an element of certainty about the result today, but that doesn't make it any easier to accept. The problem is though that we have to accept it, because it's already in the book. On to next week......
