Feel for the lad. He will be reflecting on those missed chances today. One on one saved, first time shot wide of the post and half chance from the edge of the box, over the bar. These are the chances that either enhance your career prospects or mess with your head. One positive for me though is that he's getting into those positions in the first place.
The trouble is he might not get another chance to prove himself for a while now. You need to take these kinds of chances if you’re going to play in anybody’s first team. The one on one has got to go for a start, but he never looked likely. It will weigh on him, hopefully he’ll come good but I’d worry if he’s first choice for the season.
Yeah, don't think he did much wrong with the first and it looked a cracking save but he seemed to lose composure with the other two. Hope he can work on it and finish them off next time - he's young enough and showed great promise at Scunny.
